I got some advice as a fellow luxury car owner. Go out of your way to park so far that no one will ever park next to you, when you think your far enough, double that distance, then triple it. When that is not enough, take up two spaces so its impossible for someone to park close enough. Park sideways if need be lmao.
I feel your pain. I remember when I was about 10 when my dad got his first nice car. Not even a week into owning it, one of our condo neighbors keyed both sides of the car. My dad knew exactly who it was but couldn't do anything about it since there was no eye witness or camera evidence. Some people hate seeing others with something nice. It's a reflection of the hate they have for themselves.

Gee whiz, I feel your pain. You can't ever have anything nice and keep it that way especially cars. Everytime you go out and look at it there is a new ding, pebble damage, and the worse being someone slammed their door into your car. That's why I don't care about having a nice car anymore. As long as it gets me from point a to point b that's all I care about.
Thats a bummer, I also park my new car far away from everyone else whenever possible. I have been thinking of putting some strips of PPF along the doors my self for these kind of issues. Kids sometimes fling doors open or a dog bursts out,etc.
that's why I have two cars a beater to take too malls, grocery shopping, anywhere that I can"t watch my car I take the beater, if I go some where I can watch my car and not worry about it I take the good car, rule of thumb if you park real far away from other cars there's always someone going to park next to you regardless if there plenty of spaces closer, I suggest to get a beater just to be safe, You don't want to keep spending $250 every time that can get expensive

In Germany, if you slam a door against another car and then drive away, that's a criminal offense. And according to the German mentality when it comes to cars, that's worth the death penalty. Unfortunately, it happened to me a few weeks ago, I came back from shopping and there was a big scratch on the passenger side, which I only noticed the next day (it was dark). So I feel with you.

One morning a cat got onto my bonnet, now that was raw emotion, got it fixed immediately, couldnt handle the fine scratches.
I parked my nice car in a parking lot, put the seat back and went to sleep. Woke up to a loud thud. Some old guy had deliberately pushed his door as hard as possible into my door. So I’m assuming whoever did that to your car did it on purpose.
Hate such ppl who do this...really mean and disrespectful. Once, I parked my Hellcat somewhere far from everyone and went to grap a coffee. While coming back a family car pulled out next to me and when coming out, they salmmed both doors on mine and ended with two horrible dents 💔💔. No matter what u do, there is always such awful characters😭😭😭

Sorry to hear about the ding. Same happened to me, but I later purchased a second car (a low maint everyday car) just to do my running around in.

Sorry this happened to you. Does your M4 have the Driver Recorder feature, or you just decided to install dash cams instead of using that feature.
looks like you have Blackvue dashcam, you need to add a battery pack for longer (~20hrs) recording in parking mode.
Did you get it repaired from BMW or a different repair place? I have a similar dent on my car that I also need to get resolved
