      @UsernameKate last couple of times I've ridden it's pissed down. But my waterproofs kept me dry and my tyres grip like glue my ABS a ASC prevents any drama it was still loads of fun. Had to give the bike a quick wash down a wipe off and a spray with GT85 before all that dirty water gets to dry on and starts to oxidise everything.

    • @timmorgan6234
      @timmorgan6234 Год назад +1

      I bought one of an SCL500 a month ago (US) and it has missed about 60% of downshifts if you go above 5th gear since day one. I've also got a Rebel, and agree they shift great. Took my scrambler back to the dealer and after a week and a half in which they only adjusted the shift linkages, they told me it was fixed. Went for a test ride, and it still wouldn't down shift correctly. Had the dealer ride it and they confirmed the problem (they also confirmed the problem on day one, but said it would "wear in". After 1200 miles, it hasn't). They called Honda and then called me back saying is was rider error. I have a Rebel that I've put over 5000 miles on in the last year and a Harley I've put over 40,000 miles on, I know how to shift, even with bikes with clunky transmissions). Chances are, you'll get a good one since it's Honda, but if you don't, good luck getting it fixed under warranty. Also should mention, except for the fact that it won't downshift, I love the bike, so this is not a case of buyers remorse. More a case of WTF Honda?

    Hi Kate,
    Thank you so much for this video; I followed the activity at the time via various Instagram posts, each a few seconds, but this really shows how it all hangs together. It was truly inspirational of Honda to take you through Lairg on the A836, thereby avoiding the main tourist route. Apart from those motorhomes you had the roads very much to yourselves.
    You were very fortunate to be invited to go on this expedition; I would have paid money to have had the opportunity (of course some manufacturers do.....). Looking forward to the next two!! 🏍🙂

    I’ve also got the Dax (in red) and I absolutely love it. Like you said, it’s such a fun bike and it’s great to use for a bimble on the lanes with. This CL model from Honda, I feel takes a lot of design cues from the Triumph Scrambler that Chris Pratt rode through the jungle with his pack of velociraptors.
    Maybe that's the idea. For younger riders or anyone with the Scrambler 900 outwith their budget, to get that feeling from their motorcycling ownership experience?!
    Competition from the new Triumph Scrambler 400, but the Honda's exhaust is styled more like the bike in the movie.

    Your videos are smashinglin lovely. English bike Dan videos aren't as well made as your videos. Oh, by the way, I am an American. But I just Love to hear the proper English spoken language. 😊

      @@UsernameKate 2 years from now they will colour code. They always do it 4 the end of line models. Cmx500 got same treatment.

    Some great scenery but I was cringing at about the 18:00 minute mark when you’re approaching that left bend and the photographer is directing you to pull up alongside them on their offside while riding on single track. On a closed road, no problem but not here, you only need to meet yourself coming in the opposite direction and you’re all dead. Quite poor riding really, learn to say NO. 👍

    Did the Honda people have the map of Scotland upside down when they chose the locations?🥲 Although I don't think the south of Scotland is getting any better weather either tbf.
