Living in the states outside of Philadelphia, a friend of mine Hwe, told me to watch your videos if I want to see the beautiful Scotland country side....I dont know if I will ever be able to get there, but watching your videos makes me feel a part of it....Cheers
THE VIEWS ARE WONDERFUL!!!! This video makes me 1000 times more excited to get my first motorcycle. Thank you for such a relaxing and joyful experience. God bless you
@@UsernameKate Not keeping the differences in my thoughts. Just bought a used 2005 Suzuki DR200SE single air cooled ... it will be fun. Sort of reminded me of my Bridgestone 200cc air cooled twin from about '71.
UNK That's a nice bike for taking in all that fantastic scenery! Love your channel Lady. Watching your videos is very relaxing. I can't wait until the next one! Ride SAFE and BE safe UNK! 👍👍🌹
Loved this video. Really made me laugh when you spotted the selfie predator in the Shmoo caves 😂😂 Stunning location...stunning content. Big respect and all the love 🙌❤
That’s what I love about this channel. In between the obvious commercial bits it is also always about having real world fun with real world motorcycles. Speaking of which: Yesterday I also almost drowned while riding during a Yamaha XZ 550 meeting in North Germany.
Hi Kate, so glad you enjoyed the roads, there are many more to explore, off the beaten track, with even better scenery. I live on the Isle of Skye and the area you were in is my playground, on my africa twin adventure dct es, which is amazing. The weather is not always perfect, its pissing down just now, but you just have to enjoy it all. and it does not look like is phased you at all, which is credit to you. That rider infront of you was quite keen, you know the one I mean.
Hi Kate enjoyed this leg, Sutherland my favourite part of Scotland, you lot certainly gave those little 500's a good thrashing, and I'm with you the X is the one I would pick out of the bunch. Look forward to the next one, thank you.
I have the same bike, bought new 2 months ago, and preferred over the brand new NX500. Black color, with the same crash bar, hand guards and central stand. I love it, I don’t need more.
Another great vid Kate. As a 67 year old returning to biking on retirement I bought a new 2023 CB500X. A great bike to ease my way back in to biking. Only problem is I think Honda has a cunning plan to persuade riders to upgrade! Loving the look of the new Transalp and yearning for an Africa Twin. Love the vids, keep them coming.
I looked at all 3 yesterday. I much prefer the cb500x now it's got twin discs and USD forks it sorted as far as I'm concerned. I came to the conclusion if I was thinking about the transalp I would just get the Africa twin. As I get older lighter and narrow bikes seem to appeal more. Some how the 500 feels like a 125 to me. I currently have a F800GS
Loch Ness isn't the biggest loch in Scotland but, if you took all the water in every resovoir in England and Wales it still wouldn't beat the volume of water in Loch Ness which is approximately 27 miles long and 1.7 miles at its widest point.
In the old days, it was thought that green bikes were bad luck, why I am not sure, maybe because green makes you merge in with trees and bushes etc etc. It was a long time ago though :) Macleod is pronounced like Macloud :) A family friend had a wee cottage down among the Machair just above the beach, it used to get pretty crowded when we all piled up :) On one of those trips I managed to weld the starter solenoid to the frame of the bike, when it came loose. Mate behind me said he could see the welding sparks as he rode behind me, had to swiftly disconnect the battery earth, and then got home by using the wiring from an old kettle that had been dumped in a bin to start the bike by hot wiring the starter motor directly from the battery positive, those old Honda CX 500s were hard to kill :)
Nice vid Kate. Hope the 23’ version is not as snappy (on-off) in first/second gear when cold, as my 2019 Honda 500x. Hope you continue next ride with a lot of sun. Big thumbs up 👍👍🇳🇱
@@chrishart8548 Thanks. I like it, too. So much more than the sum of its parts. Peak power may only be 53 bhp, but peak torque comes in at 3,000 rpm. The bike is very responsive. I have been offroad on it. A bit of a lump. I wasn't intending to but ran out of tarmac somewhere north of Chiang Rai city. I also have a Mk2 KTM 390 Duke. Regards, Nick
Saying “wow” all the time is ok but telling us what part of the NC500 you are on would be helpful. I do agree the scenery up in Scotland is stunning in so many palaces.
What??? no loud over bearing continuous music ? Just natural sounds and talking?????!!! I think you have found a new subscriber. I hate music videos so much. thanks. 😍😍
Hello Kate how are you doing today looking forward to seeing this nothing beats seeing my favourite Bolton biker chick on 2 wheels wearing your leathers and your new swanky helmet and dark visor looking forward to seeing you on a trackdqy with lily duke of blonde ride 🎉safe lovely 😂
Hi Kate that road surface isn’t that good but as long as your not being stupid it’s ok. Some wonderful roads & reminders from my trip , Great video . Did you miss the power of a bigger bike?
This bike doesn't seem to be as tall as you would think. Maybe the soft suspension goes down a bit, and its so narrow its like a 125. It's crazy manageable compared to the GS
The only annoying thing about all that ,apart from the fact that I will never be asked to go on such a trip, is the lock reference rather than loch.....
I don't understand why most riders use adventure bikes and they only ride the pavement. I would be riding my honda goldwing 1500. If your staying on pavement, then ride in comfort. Great musicless video. My first. loved it. thanks. 🙂
Can you really compare a cd500x with a goldwing 1500. A cb500x is almost cheaper than walking if you need transport I would say go for one . Most people can't afford the cost or inconvenience of dealing with a goldwing, especially if you're a 5'4" woman.
@@chrishart8548 Why? I lowered my rear shocks all the way. I always stood a little on my toes. No big deal at 66 years old. I'm not hauling anyone else so I let all the air out and I'm almost flat footed on both feet. 🙂 and yes, I can pick it up when I have slipped and it went over 3 different times. Technique. It's not hard.
Not the NC500 but beautiful. Crappy Road surface is all over the UK. 🤬 unbelievably dangerous 😳 I look forward to the next part. The east side of Loch ness is prettier but the museum is interesting. Ride safe, LJ
Good video, and you were doing great on the Scottish pronunciation until you got the MacLeod. That one isn't easy, pronounced Mac-Cloud ☁️ (fitting given the weather)
