I was actually there in the studio for this performance along with about 25 or so other guests. At the time I was 16. My buddy had a friend who's father was connected in advertising and got us in. I recall radio station WQIV-FM did the live broadcast. At one point I got to have a quick conversation with Alex in trying to pick his brain about the pedal board he was using. It was a home-made looking affair, duct tape and all but sounded incredible. He very casually waved off the question and replied with "no dice" in his attempt to maintain his trade secret. Getting to see them perform this early in their career and being just a few feet away to witness it all and speak with them was an experience I'll never forget.
Why is everybody wanting thumbs because of a fucking commercial?.... I'M HERE BECAUSE THIS HAS BEEN QUALITY MUSIC SINCE THEY STARTED. NOT FUCKING COMMERCIAL MUSIC.

Do you remember what amps he used in the studio? Marshall 50w I assume but also sounds like his fender at times

Love This Song Thanks To The Voltswagon Commercial xDD
I like this arrangement better than the studio version, mainly because of the bridge being before the solo in this version.
