Hello, can someone with a ScanSnap iX1600 do me a favor? I want to scan a big bulk of boardgame cards with this scanner. Different sizes: Poker Size cards - 63x88mm. Bridge size cards - 57x88mm. Mini size cards - 44x68mm. Large tarot size cards - 70x120mm. Small tarot size cards - 70x108mm. Large square cards - 70x70mm. Small square cards - 63x63mm. And other: min scanner size is: 58x58 yeah? Could someone some tests for me, if different bulk stacks make problems to scan as a bulk? Maybe test follow bulk sizes: 10, 25 40, 50 With one card size. What do you think will the x1600 bend boardgame cards? Or will they be flat lie on the table after scan? Before i buy a scanner like this i would know if the scanner could handle it to scan card by card with the adf or it will miss cards cause it will scan cards together.. Thanks for help. :)
Hi @arkonie, Thanks for reaching out with your detailed question! The ScanSnap iX1600 is a versatile scanner, but it's important to consider a few factors before using it for scanning board game cards, especially in bulk. While the iX1600 can handle various card sizes, including those you've mentioned, the performance may vary depending on the thickness, texture, and condition of the cards. Scanning a large number of cards in one batch (like 10, 25, 40, or 50 cards) could potentially cause issues, such as misfeeds or slight bends, especially with thicker or more rigid cards. For best results, I would recommend scanning smaller batches to reduce the risk of cards getting bent or stuck together. If possible, try using the manual feed mode for better control over each card. Also, placing a flat object on top of the scanned cards as they exit the scanner could help them stay flat.

Pretty sure this is an AI-generated channel. If it's not, then whoever makes the videos DEFINITELY uses A.I. generated voice for the voiceover.
Ugh I'm so tired of AI reviews! YT needs a way to filter these.
