Great review. Offering my comments about the Epson ET8550. It produces excellent color prints, and the ink is 90% full despite being used for 6 months; the touch screen is easily readable. The paper is dry when out. The cons: Prepare to load and reload printer on initial set-up. I have a MacBook Pro, and once installed, it worked correctly. The paper supply tray is limited to maybe 50 pieces, complex to load, and does not have guides for the paper size of letters or legal. The printer frequently reads, "out of paper," despite being full. You have to remove and fill the cassette to ensure it is loaded accurately, then hope the paper doesn't move when reinserting. The paper-out cassette needs to be pushed in (automatic button) to access the paper cassette. There is a rear paper feeder, but the printer doesn't auto-recognize. there is more to inkjet printers than just the cost of ink, ability to duplex and sheet feeder capacity. Some feed methods restrict paper size and paper weight/gsm (i.e. won't correctly feed even light cardboard such as for photos). The review fails to mention the viability, or not, of user replacement of print heads and cost of print heads. Also, because inkjet printers flush ink through the heads to clean/unclog partially blocked print heads there is ALWAYS somewhere that this waste ink has to go... and a VERY important consideration for long term use and environmentally friendliness (rather than replacing the entire printer just because the waste ink pad is full) is the ability to clean/replace the waste ink reservoir/pad. Finally ease/possibility of resetting purge counter once this has become necessary.

Hello, can someone with a ScanSnap iX1600 do me a favor? I want to scan a big bulk of boardgame cards with this scanner. Different sizes: Poker Size cards - 63x88mm. Bridge size cards - 57x88mm. Mini size cards - 44x68mm. Large tarot size cards - 70x120mm. Small tarot size cards - 70x108mm. Large square cards - 70x70mm. Small square cards - 63x63mm. And other: min scanner size is: 58x58 yeah? Could someone some tests for me, if different bulk stacks make problems to scan as a bulk? Maybe test follow bulk sizes: 10, 25 40, 50 With one card size. What do you think will the x1600 bend boardgame cards? Or will they be flat lie on the table after scan?
