i think you will enjoy the next gunner sub class :) . the last overclock of the thunderhead + pickled nitra allows you to clear hazzard 5 more easily than any other weapon . good vid
Can’t wait!
Can’t stop watching and playing this game. Love the content. Keep em coming m8.
Same!
Thanks for video, the random direction makes the weapon very unique and interesting in these types of games and requires a different strategy. The people who made this game did an insane job coming up with all the innovative ideas.
In the main game Gunner is most focused on direct damage while the other classes build on mobility, support, zoning etc. when you take it all away and just leave the killing bugs part it would make sense Gunner will shine. A great positive is that while the Gummer feels the strongest, the other classes dont feel weak in any way, just not AS strong
Hm, I feel like every class can melt hordes really fast if you want it to. The other classes require quite alot more thinking on where to go etc tho in comparison as they are way squishier
Unlocked Driller and fell in love. This game is too good.
I think the thunderhead simply locks on to the direction of the highest HP enemy in range right after it finishes reloading until it runs out of ammo and then the cycle repeats. So you would need to be close to the dreadnought when it finishes reloading so it locks on to the drradnought's relative position to you
This game pulls you in and locks you up.....awsome game!
Agreed
It is always better to maximize the FIRE RATE of Thunderhead than damage, because the faster it shoots, the faster it stops shooting and switches to a new target.
(Unless you get pierce of course. Pierce is always better)
Pierce is insane on this weapon.
that gun targets the closest enemy but the reaction box is weird, u can have an enemy closer on ur side but if the other enemy is facing towards u and u facing towards them even tho its slightly farther away itl usually fire at that enemy ur facing but its gotta be within mm apart from the other enemy thats closer on ur side the only time it hits walls is if theres no enemy within the weapons actual radius*
You'd think that the one called the 'Gunner' would be that yes.
👍
New to your channel, enjoying your play through, this genre of game is very fun to watch. New sub from me, keep it up.
Appreciate it, welcome in!
Yeah the heavy canon or whatever it's called is insanely powerful. But it shoots at completely random direction (I believe it's the direciton you're walking towards. So you need to time your walking direction with the reload and then keep in mind that the gun will keep shooting in the same direction and not change towards the direction you face) ... this makes it pretty unreliable and annoying to use. Despite having incredible dps
yo Thunderhead is nuts man. thanks for showing me the way 🙂
It's my favorite gun atm. Love it.
You should've gotten the kinetic explosions for you incendiary. You had so many kinetic even your other grenade was kinetic.
Missed opportunity for synergy i feel like.
Gunner has by far been my favorite i havent played juggernaut but the other 2 are super fun
It's between Gunner and Engineer for me.
engineer is super fun that's what i played in the original drg :P@@OHRyePlays
i think the 0.5% crit per nitra is really good, i kinda go to 100 and expend above that, that is already a pretty good 50% crit chance which is like 6-7 levels of crit chance. i dont like the gold one too much the global (upgrades that cost gold) are too good to pass
i been finding that Engineer is actually the hardest to play but its still my favorite, i do good with the gunner and scout so far but ive only used the driller in hazard 1 and im working on hazard2 lava stage so i haz engineer quest for lmg turret
Engineer is my favorite too, but I’ve been doing best with gunner and scout also.
Piercing is always strong. People get killed because they don't have the multi target damage to clear the small creeps. It turns into a giant ball and you get cornered. If all your weapons pierce, you clean up the small monsters and you can navigate with ease. You just need one single target weapon to kill big bosses, but even that is optionnal because strong single target weapons can sometimes have pierce.
I think the game is flawed. The only way to beat the game is full damage on one pierce weapon. I tried everything else on level 5 and nothin is strong enough.
I’m assuming there gonna be a balance patch sometime here in the near future.
Every video you post has the most OP build
Every one must be OP then.
@@OHRyePlays if they’re all OP then there’s no OP, it just means equal.
Ok
This game needs to come out already for Xbox
Probably won’t be for awhile since it’s Early Access…wishing for ya though.
Suggestion: can we start using 'effective' or something rather than Overpowered? OP suggests it's a problem that needs nerfing, which is not a great signal. We get way too much of that already, and this is easily one of the harder new roguelikes
Yeah, kinda figured it was one of those "once you have everything unlocked he is great" kinda characters, just unlocked him and ooh boy does the minigun feel awful, feels like you're reloading 80% of the time even focusing on reload speed >.
Once you get the Thunderhead, he becomes one of the best classes. It’s probably a top 2 gun.
dude the nitra scanner and gold scanner are insane early game.... you the xp one also.. you discount them a bit much. if u get them on like stage 4 or later yeah they suck
I just bought it and played 2 games lost the first one though and the second one was wayyy easies, but does anyone have really helpful tips?
I think the first floor is the most important. Stay there as long as you can to farm gold, nitra and EXP.
In general you want to try and farm the whole floor, avoid sitting still and killing bugs. As in mine all the unique rocks. They give alot of xp and let you essentially buy a levelup reward. So if you can buy 5 rewards that's essentially 5 levels worth of xp on top of the actual xp drops they give.
A more specific tip is the large orange exploders. If you get close you can trip their explosion. You have time to run a bit away. Does big damage to surrounding bugs.
This might be a bit silly, but could you use the final boss to harvest materials. When it jumps, it destroys everything in its path. Could be a useful tactic to fast resources. I hope this game comes out on consoles eventually.
Using mobs to harvest is not silly
It's a useful tactic for sure!
thunderhead targets the highest hp enemy after every reload and shoots in that angle untill the next reload...
Is the highest target enemy off the screen sometimes lol?
This is false. You can clearly see the boss HP and still firing towards walls after reloads
@@OHRyePlaysi think its because you have 50% less range so if the weapon dosent find an enemy in that low range it will shoot random
no, scout is
no, gunner is
You move slower when you're holding gold and nitra!?
Not always. There is an artifact called "pickeled nitra" it gives you +damage and -speed based on how much you hold. So you don't always move slow, only when you pick that item.

i cant win with the scout and this mf(gunner) they do shit damage for me
What level are you? The further you get the easier it gets.
@@OHRyePlays 21 or 22, think one of those is the level. also, do you know if there is a map button?
@@OHRyePlays got to hazard 5, they are so easy to play now, and my favs are hard to get off.
