Great build, I could replicate it on the first try! Settled for the explosive grenade as the first weapon after two rerolls but got the cryo immediately as third weapon and the overclocks were perfect. First 3-split then TNT. Also got TNT on the explosive. From there it was smooth sailing, only problem at the end was that everything died too fast to run through the complete level even with many speed upgrades. But I guess that counts as "luxury problems" 😀
38:30 the lack of damage is not having any damage scaling in the artifact channel. You passed up gold tipped bullets and energy bars earlier :) It would also have been really good to get electrical element on the plasma burster overclock instead of reload speed. You would be putting shock stacks on everything, making your main damage crit more.
Just love that ganade mining. pure perfection. Not rly sure what happend to the boss on lvl 5 but my impression was that he felt down from the floor.... his hp went from like 55% to 0 in no time. to bad its not on screen.
I'm none native speaker so go easy on me when it comes to the right terms. In my oppinion, the urge to get tripple split on mining builds is a bit of a mathmatical flaw. The circle area is r²*pi. So you could easily think tripple split would make it significantly better (you got 3 circles now). But you have to keep in mind that those explosions overlap almost all of the time. So getting the 30% + explosion radius for just 1 grenade, also gets the job done quite good.
The 1 grenade def does a good job, the 3 minis is a bit better. There is some overlap though, but overall it can cover more ground, especially if you get a good throw.
Something else that's kind of nice when main focusing on the cryo grenade like this is you can still see the screen pretty well with it. Not the same visual that obscures so much like with the deep core pgl etc.
Id kind of like an explosion radius artifact. Its a bit niche and getting it on a non explosive run would force a re roll potentially, but the chemist kit already is that way so idk might be cool.
Gold tipped bullets and saving that gold for 2 floors would have been sick. Especially with a high damage second weapon, might have set a record on damage numbers. Didn't matter of course since it wasn't offered.
He just straight up said that basically he'll take xp gain and pickup radius everytime it'll show up and then proceed to ignore it next two level ups. Fun run though
This was so crazy. Hey OHRye what would you think if they added upgrades to the drop ship? Like mgs, a healing laser, maybe flame throwers or slicers around the base for when enemies get close. I know it would be a long way off considering Rosco 2.0 is on the way.
That would be a pretty cool idea, something to kill enemies for the 30 seconds while you wait...or just help you gain some exp and heal for the next level. I like it. But ya, I don't think something like that would come soon.
as fun as the explosive build is, my steam deck lags too much even in performance setting 😆. i've tried the floor is magma run with the incendiary grenade doing the demolitionist class mastery

The "Gain 3 Levels" scales with your XP gain. There is always a delay between the first three levels and the additional ones.

your explosion radius is 20.83. for reference, a default is 4. so you have 5x radius compare to normal grenades.

He must have. Sometimes when they get frozen mid jump, it glitches them out. He def flew off the map lol.

This type of build is why my engineer is over level 100 while the rest are 50-60. Explosions are just too fun
