Repairing Raymarine e7 sd card reader Part 1

In this #DIY video, I remove the SD card reader in my #Raymarine #e7 and try to determine if it's generic enough to find or fashion a suitable replacement from off the shelf parts.

Interested to see how this progresses. I have the same problem with the same plotter but one slot is still working at the moment. Thought it was the microSd connection pins but all look ok on inspection so probable component fail. As it’s still working wasn’t prepared to break into the sealant. Same story from Raymarine in Europe regards replacement parts.

I have the same problem, I took the card reader out and took some readings. R1 and R2 read open. any idea of the value. they have no markings
