Cheap and Easy DIY Carbon Monoxide Detector wiring for boats
Просмотров 86Год назад
I #DIY wire up these inexpensive #kiddie carbon monoxide detectors that run off of 9V. I was having issues where the #battery backup was saying low battery after only a days use. Hopefully, tying them into the boat's #12V batteries will provide better results. I like to have the detectors running when motoring the boat or using the generator.

The truth about TFCI outlets on boats for space heaters.
Просмотров 25Год назад
We replace a TFCI, not GFCI outlet that reacts to temperature to prevent electrical boat fires when using space heaters.
Thanx bro, I feel like a real man now that I`ve replaced my mirror. Still I there's one screw left and I dont know where from:)
Do you use fusion 360?
What kind of paint did you use? Did you brush it on? Nice job man..
Is the last coat using fast hardner?
Mines not working period. Can lock it in, but no gas to the burner. Can remove the thermocouple either.
I'm having the same issue 😩
@@desidog1 I was able to fix mine. What I did was the knob that controls the gas had a rubber sleeve inside of it. It became unaligned so the hole that feeds the gas wasn’t allowing it to feed. Not sure if it makes sense, but that’s what fixed mine. I suspect it’s from turning the knob too hard to make it come on when a canister isn’t aligned properly. I had to take it apart, but it’s an easy fix.
Did you just sew through a zipper, I thought I was high watching this
This is painful to watch. Not because this vehicle is nice but because there is absolutely nothing to gain from watching this over just diving in on your own.
Tanks 😎👏👏👏👍💪🤜🤛🤙
Thank you. I was able to replace my driver side mirror on 2008 BMW X3 watching this.
Happy to help!
Working on one now, just got the motor running, but its only showing 5 volts A/C, going to check my capacitor next, thanks.
The part where you remove the mirror is not visible.
I have the same problem, I took the card reader out and took some readings. R1 and R2 read open. any idea of the value. they have no markings
😱 "PromoSM"
Interested to see how this progresses. I have the same problem with the same plotter but one slot is still working at the moment. Thought it was the microSd connection pins but all look ok on inspection so probable component fail. As it’s still working wasn’t prepared to break into the sealant. Same story from Raymarine in Europe regards replacement parts.
Dude that whole needs to be glassed on the inside
Dude, I disagree. The inside fiberglass of that hole is bonded from the inside from the inside with system and behind that is foam. That should be more than enough structural support. In the unlikely chance it doesn't hold, I'll I'll redo it. Old dogs doing everything the same for decades just because that's the way it's always been done.
I really can’t tell where the damage was!! Nice work 🎉
sounds like a bad connection getting enough voltage through eventually
1) is there a link for the capacitor. 2) why did you increase the capacitor to 25uF?
thank you for this. im gonna have to replace both of my mirrors so hopefully I don't break anything!!
I said I was switching on shore power when I was actually switching to generator power. My bad.
