As a someone who is an immigrant to America (as a child) and who constantly has to deal with "where are you from" it is the #1 question that shuts down a conversation for me. MANY presieve this seemingly question as a "where are you from, because you sure arnt from here ie. america, canada western world..." just be aware of that, in 10 years of public dealing, its one of the only questions that upset me...

Very useful! Great acronym and elaboration of each concept. You'd be surprised how much you have in common with other people after learning about their work, hobbies, etc.

Thank you Emma, this is the best video about small talk I've ever seen! You rock

  • @bajuszpal172

Excellent, Dear Emma, small talk is a really useful way of bringing comfort to our meeting, especially those unexpected, or which happen to us . Yet, let me disagree only with the first, the F, mainly if meating a visitor to our office, a highly person. It is not only money, but family may be the next topics not recommended to start with. You certainly know that talking about weather is probably the safest form to start with. Then the acronym WORD would do a better job for e.g. secretaries or administrative assistants. in particular. Best regards, Paul, 66, retired teacher.
