Yeah. That’s absolutely amazing. Had no idea such an object still existed.

Philadelphia has been on my list of places to go visit. This just shot it to the #1 position on that list.

Yeah, totally just a tent. It only housed the father of our nation as he was general of a ragtag group of untrained farmers who somehow defeated the most powerful nation in the world at the time. I mean, granted, he came up with battle plans inside this tent that changed the course of the war and gained America her independence but its just a tent, it's not that deep. Washington always ensured the tent was close to his men so they knew he was in the thick of it with them and that they would always respect and love him for doing so. Who cares about a 250+ year old tent that somehow inexplicably stood the test of time because, believe me, it is NO achievement by historians and preservationists to save this object from slowly deteriorating and disappearing for ever. So, who cares about this right?!? After all, it is just a tent and it's not deep. Hot take moneybunny!

No cloth or leather material lasts that long. What is the story of the renovation/restoration? Still, it is a beautiful artifact and a beautiful story. Pity Philadelphia, a great city in Washington's day and for almost 200 years after the Revolution, today has gone "woke" and is now anti-American and anti-white. What a sad ending to the story. It may not even be safe for most visitors to go to that museum, even in the daytime now.

I can’t add anything on the tent but as to the state of Philadelphia..sadly you are spot on.Progressive’s destroy almost everything they touch.

@@thomasp6576 Does the museum issue warnings to come armed with your musket and leave them at the door? In honor of George Washington, Pennsylvania, above all places, should recognize constitutional carry for all American CITIZENS.
