… and… while we’re in LA, why not meet with our good friend and fellow light-painter Derek Hough? Just in case you don’t know him, Derek is a skilled dancer, choreographer, singer and author, but first and foremost a warm, fun and generous human being.
Here’s the plan for today. We rented a small studio and as you can guess, I’m going to do a couple of light-painting pictures for him. But as he’s very interested in this type of photography (and he actually has some experience with it), I’m going to help him fine tune his technique. The funny thing I asked him in exchange, is to teach me how to move more gracefully when I do the light-painting. Let’s see where this goes
We had a great time creating with Derek, but what really filled me with joy is related to one of the main reasons why I keep doing this type of art. I’ve been teaching this for over 10 years, and seeing others coming up with such elegant pieces is so rewarding. The last picture on this video has been light-painted by Derek Hough!
