Something funny I noticed, throughout the battle the Zeekeeper speaks in overly formal prose, then he reveals himself as a surfer dude, but then briefly goes back to formal prose when Bowser's minions irk him. Gotta love those little personality details like that.
*The part where Luigi resists Zeekeeper and starts swimming in the middle to become giant is when I realised he was becoming BADASS! The fact you chase Zeekeeper instead of the normal combat is what’s really amazing! Also the dimension crossing move is annoying as SHIT but I wish they would show US fighting in different locations after he landed!*

This game did so much to characterize luigi, i cannot hate it for being a bit underwhelming.
This fight was fantastically epic and honestly only topped by Giga Bowser later on.
I really like the Zeekeeper and his personality!
The scale and spectacle of this fight is incredible. The theatrics of the last couple giant battles were absolutely through the roof. Zeekeeper is the one that felt like it flowed most naturally into a giant battle without it being giant just for the sake of being giant. It just felt RIGHT! I still get goosebumps when that pre-battle music kicks in and you know what’s about to go down
I know and fighting a guardian is the worst.
Honestly, part of me feels like Zeekeeper also should've grown way bigger for a second phase.

This boss fight is cool but at the same time. It was infuriating as hell mainly because of the damn motion control section. I raged so hard here and was honestly quite close to rage quitting the whole game.
That’s my main problem with the Zeekeeper and Giant Bowser fight!
Damn. This game is 10 years old, and i was today years old when i found out you can counterattack the Zeekeeper during the dodge phases where you either jump over or duck underneath him
It legit took me two tries to fight that guy. Honestly I couldn't believe that it took me two tries because I suck at tilting and motion controls

It took me like 3 months to beat this man
-Technically like 2 years if you count the break I took from the game because of this bossfight
And it was all because of the gyroscope controls.
I only beat him like a few weeks ago.
Cool! I really like the Zeekeeper! He's my favorite character in the Mario and Luigi series.
Probably the best giant boss fight other than bowser, because this was probably the most involved fight, with all the cool motion controls (despite those being absolute hell) and chase sections. It was really cool how different it was.

I remember i rage quitted 2 separate times because of this boss. Now imagine me struggling with bowser 😭 (took at least 3 tries to actually beat bowser’s dream form.)
hard mode's Zeekeeper boss fight is the worst due to having bad motion controls
yup im literally doing it on hard mode this very moment, dogshit motion controls just stop working midway through
It's a pain in the ass even on normal mode
I had to avoid triggering that entire phase as I would get stuck in the bottom corner the second time it triggered, 11 year old me got stuck there
Thankfully on the new 3DS they fixed the gyro. By the time I played this game it was totally fine, beat Zeekeeper first try

This was a fun battle for me. I only needed two tries to win. First time I was like "why's everyone say this is so hard? It's easy" then the game decided to teach me a lesson about respect for the mighty Zeekeeper and so I took the battle way more seriously the second time around and won with well over half of my health bar intact.
That was a nice Battle
