@@RustyCog There wasn't a death screen? Unless you're talking about that beta "Depressed Luigi" thing, in which case that was only a trailer thing and never part of the actual game.
@@GamingPerson-yu4ye I am talking about and while it was never used it’s theorized to have been the game over screen when you ran out of time and Mario got trapped forever a later scrapped mechanic all together

I like how they've changed the death animation in this game to be more accurate.
What I mean is in the previous Luigi's Mansion games, when Luigi dies, he collapses but his eyes were still open, which was creepy.
In this game, as Luigi collapses, he closes his eyes.
The death penalty in prison is rather brutal for a game designed for old-ish kids.
The spiked ceiling coming down and the toxic gas room too.

There’s something really humorous about the first boss of the game and a Goob in a fire breathing mask dealing the most damage of any bosses in one hit (Dr. Potter’s plant is 6 hits though in total is deadlier at 50 points total) and most other things short of instant death. The Power swipe’s at least a bit more understandable, but apparently getting ragdolled by a possessed T-Rex exhibit and getting hit by swinging axes is just the typical 20 damage.
ikr😂 like, 40 damage from steward’s luggage feels like too much that early in the game. Tbh, fishhook’s attack where he tries to eat you should’ve done like, at least 60 damage if not more like an instant death

But I had a trio of golden bones so I was fine.
I then proceeded to buy eight more out of fear though.
And then only used one of those in the final fight.
Conclusion: spike room made me waste money

5:11 - How'd it play twice?
When Luigi's health hit 0 the first time, Luigi was not on the ground. So the game played the song anyways because it didn't know what to do, all it knew is to play the song when Luigi dies. But then when Luigi hit the ground, the game noticed the player was on the ground and "properly" played the song as normal since Luigi's death animation could properly play. But since the game wasn't made to stop the previous sound, it played the song twice instead of once like it was supposed to.
