    Kool video man. Super interesting.
This shows you these companies are taking it in the margin and are making just enough to self sustain.
Plus 10% excise tax makes it even harder. And incentives companies to get there lures made elsewhere for cheaper.
    More innovation is needed.

It's why the industry is going to go ADM American Domestic Market.

Innovation comes from competition. They're telling us they don't have enough competition or innovation

I hope in the near future everything comes back around and the small guys become BIG again 🙌🏻 Boycott these big brands

I totally understand, selling your company to somebody bigger for financial freedom . Personally, I wouldn’t be able to sleep at night if I sold off my company (if I had one of that scale).. i also did not know about that whole bass mafia umbrella !! Good stuff man

One reason I went with Lew's reels years ago, was because they were local to me (Springfield, MO). "Rather Outdoors" acquired them around 2019, and moved Lew's HQ to the Carolinas...😓

There was so many other things I didn’t cover. If I covered all these bought out companies it would have been a 2 hour video 😂

You know I’ve been thinking about for a while why I have gravitated more towards the jdm fishing market ever since I started buying fishing gear, this kind of nails the final piece to my question, whenever I enter a bass pro or a Walmart or whatever other outdoor store, every thing has started to feel like it blurs together, they all started to feel like the same formula at some point to me , meanwhile whenever I go down a rabbit hole for some jdm product , there’s always a familiar face on them, for example osp, teckel, deps. All of them feel like they’re being ran by an actual fish fanatics putting their passion project out for others to enjoy, meanwhile I look at promotion for the companies mentioned in the video and they all have that modern unauthentic corporate slop feel to them, I’d like for USA companies to feel authentic once again in the near future

Its always been that way. But it's only because the small guys made them do it. Its always been the American Dream. Let em compete against each other to buy your label. Just don't end up like Famous Amos.
