Way back in October '96, this game and Guardian Heroes were $30 at my local Babbage's. I had been considering both of them for a while, and after skipping lunch at school for a few weeks to save money, I went into the store and made the decision to get Guardian Heroes. I've always been happy with that choice. I also got Ghen War and Astal for $10 each and Legend of Oasis for $30.
This was a great looking and playing game in 1995 and anyone who tries to argue that against me wasn't playing games back then. It didn't take long for Sega to outdo themselves with Sega Rally but this was a decent game. The only real knock against it is the constant tap-tap-tap steering you have to do, Manx TT solved some of that problem.
Hang On Tight! This game needed an unlockable bonus mode where u are the racer's girlfriend and u have to anticipate turns to hold on tight as the racer gets increasingly wild w his driving and if u don't hang on well enough u go flying off the bike and crash and skid along the pavement, then the jerk boyfriend pulls over and waves u to come get back on the bike. The goal is to stay on longer than the opponent's GF. After each tumble your character gets more n more beat up and is limping etc. Eventually u don't get up and the ambulance comes n they scrape u off the pavement n toss u in the meatwagon. But if u make it to the end the racer gives u either flowers, a pet bird or monkey, or if u do really well a diamond ring.

you need the steering wheel for this game. It plays like a dream with it

Mid 90 Segas arcade racer music is best music.

It was kinda ugly, but it was one of the best-playing racers on the Saturn. Once you found the right line, it was like a dream.
Was this played on SSF? Looks too pixelated for output from an actual Saturn.

The Saturn had great gameplay, but the appearance of the jaggedy 3d on the Saturn did it in.
Why couldn't they just have ported the original arcade _Hang-On_ (1985) and _Super Hang-On_ (1987) here instead?

while it tries to be a good installment, this is a bit too reminiscent to Namco's Cyber Cycles
