This is Saturn's port of one of the PSX's first european titles. The game was made by the very competent company Reflections (Shadow of the Beast and Driver series) and the while the port has its own problems (City Heat is horrible), it's still quite decent. The game had great some incredible physics for its time, but the 3D engine is still super limited, so it can't be taken too seriously as a driving game.
This is walkthrough will only cover the first and last seasons/divisions of the game, and the final special track. Each division has it's own version of the 5 circuits, but the changes are minimal. I played this in a quite conservative manner, knowing that trying to hit the other cars can easily give you more points than just winning the race. For example, a 360є hit gives you as many points as a first place. -

Great fun the DD games, the graphics look nice and crisp on this version. The bowl arena derby is great fun but it is always best to drive in reverse to protect the engine ;)

That big Sony Panavision screen in the first circuit displaying the SEGA logo, originally showed the actual race in real-time in the PSX version.

i used to play this so much back in 1995 , god showing my age now lol and my brother and myself used to love this game , just imagine if they do a remake anniversary edition for this game for next gen consoles.
Would be so epic if it was for xbox one , there would be achievements to get and online multiplayer , theatre mode , take and save photo's , co - op career , a story to the game itself.
Thumbs up if you think there should be a remake ?

SSF. It usually works great for everything except for fighting games.

i borrowed this from a friend. almost won a race once. i was too occupied with smashing. i was the last car and i couldn't get hit. i couldn't dodge this one car and lost. i remember the controls being weird in it. but great game. need to bring it back.

This game showcases all the ways in which the poor old Saturn couldn't keep up with the Playstation. Much worse pop in, no transparency, everything looks slightly taller somehow, even the menu looks bad. I love the Saturn regardless but if you saw the 2 side by side in the shop running this in 1995 and you bought the Saturn then you must have been high.

Also the TV screen showing a logo rather than the race and the mission positions indicator at the start line.
