…whenever I feel “criminal” cutting my plants, I talk myself happy by remembering haircuts…it eoryfor me and (I think) the plant friends…also really appreciate the gratitude you show for the community here-it’s why I stay💛🌷
One suggestion when you are trying to grow roots for your philodendron ...put the cuttings in a glass jar that is see through...and place in a light area. it will have a much easier time growing roots with more light. Oh and you are ok to cut off the drying leaves or trim the dry areas off. Hope that helps. Love watching your channel! So happy you are in your own home.

It is very hard to get disability benefits in the US. My hearing is coming up soon so hopefully I will finally have some money coming in again. I understand how scary it is to face any loss of income. Life can bring a lot of ups and downs but what you need will always come in one form or another.

It's really not that great. It's pretty to look at but when you have to be out in it not so much😄 And you have to shovel snow and salt so people don't slip. It's a whole thing🙈
I have a bit of experience with propagating Monstera, and you are definitely on the right track. But I might have done it a bit different for the best result. No need for more than one large leaf on a cutting. It will just drain water from the cutting before it has developed the roots needed to properly take up water. This is more important in the winter where the indoor air usually is very dry. If you have a place in your house where it is a bit cool (like around 16-18 degrees Celcius, but never below 15) and there is a lot of light it would be the ideal place for the new cuttings. It is in my experience best to put the cuttings in soil as soon as they begin developing roots. Just make sure the soil is kept moist all the time until the new plant is fully established. You know your new plant is established when it has unfolded the first new leaf.

I had 2 Etsy shops that were great successes but then I went through some challenging personal issues and I saw my shops beginning to decline and I ended up closing them both. As I move forward and heal personally from my challenges I have reopened one shop and so I understand your feelings and your appreciation for the rise in business! It's really not that great. It's pretty to look at but when you have to be out in it not so much😄 And you have to shovel snow and salt so people don't slip. It's a whole thing🙈

I have a bit of experience with propagating Monstera, and you are definitely on the right track. But I might have done it a bit different for the best result.
No need for more than one large leaf on a cutting. It will just drain water from the cutting before it has developed the roots needed to properly take up water. This is more important in the winter where the indoor air usually is very dry. If you have a place in your house where it is a bit cool (like around 16-18 degrees Celcius, but never below 15) and there is a lot of light it would be the ideal place for the new cuttings. It is in my experience best to put the cuttings in soil as soon as they begin developing roots. Just make sure the soil is kept moist all the time until the new plant is fully established. You know your new plant is established when it has unfolded the first new leaf.
