How do you create the perfect boho bedroom? To me, it's all about adding colorful and cozy layer after layer of beautiful textiles and meaningful pieces of art into my cottage bedroom. I love the cozy feel this creates. It takes time to curate the perfect pieces ... but in this week's video, I add in some more touches that make me fall even more in love with my boho bedroom.

I’m 67 and build snowmen and make sandcastles and well even love to play with building blocks and legos as well…hope I always can!….. I always seem to “subconsciously” layer….i just buy things that I love and voila’ somehow the eclectic patterns evolving into a cozy little space…..hope you feel better

2024 will be a year of healing for me as well, I lost my sister on Thanksgiving, she was the one person to encourage my creativity, so it will be hard, but I know something beautiful will happen if I just keep her with me ❤
I so admire people like you whose homes reflect their personality and actually look snug and comfy because I live in a country where people just follow the latest trend so every home’s interior looks exactly the same as the next person’s (the current trend is grey). It’s sooo dull, boring and bland whereas a boho style is fascinating because there’s always something to look at. Kudos to you.

Kate, I wanted to say thank you for bringing so much peace and joy into our lives. I have had an incredibly difficult pandemic and the continuing fallout and have been utterly burnt out. I find peace in your videos and just love to switch off and watch. My 12 year old son has autism and ADHD, and he adores you videos. He even asks me to put them on. He loves the music particularly. He has said that he hopes to meet you one day and he would love to give you a big hug for making him so happy. My Mummy heart burst with joy and I felt I had to tell you. Thank you so so much ❤

I am still blown away by how good I feel after I watch any of your videos. I don’t even remember now how I stumbled across your channel but I have been so thankful ever since I did. I have written to you before and you commented back and that made me so giddy that day! I feel like a total fan girl. It’s strange though I really want you to know that I feel like we are long lost friends and I don’t know how to really explain that because I don’t feel that way about anybody else that I watch. But I just feel so invested in your life And I am put at ease by all the beauty that you bring into the world. It truly is a wonderful gift! Since watching you I have been rearranging my 2 bedroom apartment. I promised myself, after years of collecting, I was going to downsize and try minimalizing. Forget it! I'm back filling up spaces. It didn't take a lot to get me started, again.
I spent last week at Value Village & Habitat for Humanity and wow, did I shop! I was like a kid at 77, in a candy store. I was thinking about how you would react to all the goodies I found. My new best items are room dividers in bamboo. In an open concept living space, I have created small, intimate, cozy spaces. I love my spaces. As you know, with my disabled husband and my newly befriended teacup Chi, Rudy, I spend a lot of time at home. So, my spaces are giving me warmth and hugs when I visit them. I have created a little tea corner, in my bedroom, with a newly acquired blue tea kettle, blue teapot and blue cups. How handy this is. I have cookies and other snacks to nibble on while viewing endless amounts of You Tube videos on Tiny House Living and, Van conversions. Honestly, if I were to do my life over again, I would live a gypsy style life. Yes, that would suit me very well.
I just got inspiration for another addition to my space, a branch with tiny white lights! Can't wait to get a couple to put around for some evening ambiance. thank you for that amazing tip.
I'm so sorry you are not feeling well. I hope your upcoming surgery is not too challenging and that you will bounce back, quickly. I smiled when you hugged your now famous tree. Consider decorating a spot in it to place your body against, a small picture, perhaps?

Finding that cozy feeling at home is everything no matter what style of decor one chooses. You just have to do whatever makes you home your home. I am a lot of clean lines with pops of color and I love it but I love seeing what others come up with for their own style. I am always open to everything pretty much haha.

It’s always hard to lose a loved one. The 10th was the anniversary of my dad’s passing and his funeral was the 15th, it’s been a few years now, some yrs better than others, this yr was a bit harder .
Be good to yourself, always nice to buy fresh flowers, or some things like you found at the charity shop. Your room is lovely.
Wishing you well in your upcoming surgery and pray you begin the journey to better health. I too suffer with pain issues but nature is a lovely escape. Please to you and Charlie. ❤❤❤

Love the mini snowman and the philosophy to go with it. It's part of letting go of too much future thinking and instead really getting into the now. I'm trying to do more of that also. I also just bought a new rolled up mattress replacing a 2O year old one. I felt like a little kid watching it come to life and unfold. So fun! I’m almost 70 years old.
My favorite color is pink - actually all pastels. My bedroom walls are a lilac color. I have a shabby chic style and I am definitely not a minimalist. I live in a tiny 900 sq ft condo. I love lots of layers too. My weakness is old pictures with gold frames, florals, comforters, throws, and pillows. Your bedroom looks so warm and cozy. Love all the blankets and pillows. And your accent wall is so adorable. Love the twinkle lights. The sweater you were wearing with the embroidered (?) flowers was so pretty. Thank you for the reminder to take things slow and easy when we need to. Blessings.

Lately, I've been dealing with vertigo. No medical reasons have shown up as to what's the cause. It's puzzling. So I'm being gratitude, joyful and at Peace with what arrives, resting when I need to ang enjoing my precious life. 😅

If you haven’t, get your iron and ferritin levels checked. I had an iron transfusion after perimenopausal bleeding and it was literally life changing.

Both my Mum and Dad are gone now, and although Mum's been gone 16 years, there's not a day goes by where I don’t think of her a million times. Don't rush your grief darlin..take the time you need to process your emotions. Cry when you need to cry and laugh when you need to laugh. I absolutely LOVE what you've done with your bedroom, it's adorable. I can completely relate with regards to having to slow down and do only what we can. I too am struggling with a health challenge on top of the chronic health conditions that I already live with. I also lost my work life balance and have been feeling completely exhausted and overwhelmed. But I have been focusing on mindfulness and self care. I've been journaling and also making time for crafting and creating. This year I filled my cottage with early spring bulbs, mini daffodils, muscari and hyacinths in various pots and planters which filled me with joy. I'm so sorry for your recent loss, I can't imagine how difficult that is. Take good care ❤xx
