I was at the truck race at Chicagoland last week so this is the first time I’ve seen the tv broadcast, and my take: get Vince Welch out of the booth. That was an exciting finish and he called it like Nemechek was far ahead, and then completely disregarded Moffitt. Rick Allen can be annoying but at least he can call a finish, my goodness
I feel lile Vince Welsh has a good talking voice, while Rick Allen has a good announcing voice. If you put them together you can get a great voice in the booth.
My favorite fuel mileage finish was at the Brickyard 400 when Paul Menard managed his fuel and held off Jeff Gordon for the win. I grew up watching his father John field Indy cars year after year and never win in Indy cars, so to see his son win at Indy with his father there to see was just special to me. If Mr. Menard never wins another Cup race, he can always be proud for winning the one that meant the most.
@@catjudo1 he never did win again, but it was a heck of a win. As a Jeff Gordon fan Menard earned my respect that day. I give him even more props for his work with the sport sponsoring ARCA and other drivers as well as putting in a good word to have DiBenedetto be his replacement. Sure Menard wasn't a flashy guy at all and he hated the spotlight (especially social media haha) but he has left an impact on this sport.
If you do a part 2, the 2011 STP 300 at Chicago was a fuel mileage race. Both leaders ran out of gas at the same time and it was whoever coasted faster
It hinder some strategies but created new ones and there's still chances for fuel mileage finishes. I don't get why suddenly stage racing is being thrown under the bus for a lot of things lately.
nascage At least Bill Weber could put together complete sentences without stumbling like Rick Allen does and he didn’t sound constipated all the time like Vince Welch does.
I was at that Xfinity race at Auto Club. It was a very boring race & Kyle Busch dominated. During the race, I was trying to open a bag of Skittles, & when it did open several of the pieces flew out. The guy behind me said that Kyle won't win because of it. Well, Kyle blew a tire & lost to Austin Dillon. Still amazes me to this day how he jinxed Kyle like that
Fuel mileage finishes can be absolutely incredible, or an unwatchable boring mess. No in between either.

Papa John papa john plays no games.
Papa John agreed also. It deserved a way better call than that.
To be fair Vince Welch was filling in last minute cuz Rick Allen had an emergency, Vinve Welch isn't used to be the play by play guy.

that was a bs win
Well that just, like, your opinion, man...

"Craziest NASCAR finishes" first clip is ARCA
Mmmmm Toast ARCA was bought by NASCAR
ARCA is nascar affiliated
Chris Smith Just because it's affiliated with NASCAR doesn't make it NASCAR.
Go Fuck Yourself its also owned by nascar
socrates but a dog At first I thought you said that but that’s his name😂
Tony Stewart winning the 2006 race at Kansas while coasting out of fuel for the last half of the final lap was crazy.
If you do a part 2, the 2011 STP 300 at Chicago was a fuel mileage race. Both leaders ran out of gas at the same time and it was whoever coasted faster
And ESPN confused Kevin Lepage with Trevor Bayne
Noticing a pattern here, its just a little one, lets call it a little junior pattern
I love how the booth commentates at 8:52-9:57.
There will never be a race as crazy as the 2007 Coca Cola 600
Dude grown men where jumping up and down at Charlotte in the stands for Jr 😂 well remembered finish👌
Stage racing has basically killed these finishes
It hinder some strategies but created new ones and there's still chances for fuel mileage finishes. I don't get why suddenly stage racing is being thrown under the bus for a lot of things lately.
not really. Austin Dillon at the Coke 600 last year was won on fuel mileage
What In Carnation? What do you mean lmao. We saw it last year with Dillon
I think he's referring to the fuel mileage runs in the lower series, like Xfinity and Camping World Trucks.
Dat-Mudkip Trucks maybe, Xfinity is debatable
What about the 2015 Pocono finish??
You forgot Pocono 2015
MY TOP 10 NASCAR Fuel Mileage Finishes:
10. 2011 Road America
9. 2014 Las Vegas
8. 2010 Sylvania 300
7. 2015 Windows 10 400
6. 2009 Lifelock 400
5. 2015 Cheez-It 355
4. 2012 Kansas Lottery 300
3. 2006 Banquet 400
2. 2011 Xfinity Chicagoland
1. 2011 Coca-Cola 600
After they said it was out of fuel, it actually had three gallons left. Fuel pick up problem starved the engine at the worst possible time.
I remember people used to complain about Bill Weber and everyone thought he sucked but compared to Vince Welch and Rick Allen he was pretty damn good.
Eh, I'll still take those two over Bill Weber all day, and that's not saying a lot.
nascage At least Bill Weber could put together complete sentences without stumbling like Rick Allen does and he didn’t sound constipated all the time like Vince Welch does.
You should do IndyCar fuel mileage finishes video
Austin Dillon 2017 Coca Cola 600?
Im eating raw pasta while watching this
If you make part 2 you gotta have the 2015 pocono race in it

Your the demon who caused the pain
The first one was arca
Why is so many fuel victorys at vegas
What about the 1989 Daytona 500, even though it wasn't really a thrill.
Do dale jr near misses attempt 1
1:40 Cameron Hayley deserved better.
Actually th- oh never mind.
The first race isn't NASCAR
The first one was not nascar it was arca
nascar bought arca last year
Y was the first clip ARCA???
TBayne6fan 101 Because it’s apart of NASCAR
well, not yet. its gonna be fully acquired in 2019 i think. but good point.
NCAL It wasn’t in 2012.
Sorenson didn’t deserve his win. Fellows won that race
Why? Ron Fellows blatantly kept hauling ass at race speed to the pace car.
NASCAR made the right call on that one (for once)
Trump's running out of fuel on the last lap it appears
