Timely! I have a good friend I don’t see a lot, but she is giving birth in less than 2 months, it’s a girl. I have a great burp cloth pattern (happy to share) that moms rave about, maybe I’ll send it to you anyway, but I think making a little romper would be perfect, and use up even more of my stash of quilting cottons. Thanks! As always.
Thanks Deb, yes I'll definitely be making the Romper for Alice even though the size range is a bit bigger - it starts at 9 months & she's 4 - it will be something for her to grow into. Thanks for the offer of the burp cloth, that would be really useful, you can send me DM on Instagram, that would be lovely thank very much 🤗
It’s funny how times change. I’m much older than you but rompers in my age were always for boys. From being new born, boys had rompers, baby girls had dresses. All were very pastel in shade, white, baby blue, lemon and pink. As they got older, say 9 months, still the same. Older than that, they were into (boys, trouser/shorts) , girls, still dresses. Babies were crawling at that stage and shortly after , walking. I love babies to be dressed as babies. Hate to see them in denim and such until they’re at least 2. Xx
Yes things certainly change don't they, I think my grand daughter mainly wears babygrows looking forward to making lots of small things for her & use up the old scrap.pile but am keeping in mind my son & DILs tastes - no point making them if they don't get worn!
Great video as always..a list of children’s free patterns would be so helpful...seeing that we have the two most adorable granddaughter‘s ever..🥰🥰 take care xx
Would love a sew along to the Baby Romper, it’s the bodice attaching, could do with in tutorial, Ive just found out I’m going to be a 1st time Grandma, totally over the moon🍾 and cant wait to make. 🙂
Love the “stay frugal” 🤣 thanks again for a great blog always interesting and fun... have a lovely day seeing your beautiful granddaughter precious memories 💕💕
Thanks for all the info on the children’s sewing bee. Black linen is a great colour for babies. Practical and they look surprisingly good in it. Also very little competition so it stands out. Modern parents tend to search it out too, in my experience. I’m really enjoying going through your back catalogue! What a brilliant format!
Thanks Trish, yes I think you're right - I'll see if there's enough left over. Thanks for your lovely comments - hope that you enjoy the rest of the videos 😊
A tutorial of anthing is always worth doing, everyday is a school day. I'm looking for a free sweatshirt pattern for my 7 year old, he has drawn and asked me to make a Christmas themed sweatshirt?
Sewing is all nice and well but how adorable is your grand daughter 😍
Ha ha yes she is very cute isn't she (I may be slightly biased in that opinion 😉)
Your grand daughter is adorable xxxx
Aw thanks - looking forward to cuddles this afternoon 🤗
I would love a top 10 list of free Children’s patterns.
Black romper for baby + bright colored decorative top stitched!
Ooh yes excellent idea - I might even invest in some of that rainbow overlocker thread 😘

Thanks so much!Ha ha thanks Pippa - I forgot to do it on my review 🙄

Use the black linen and add a ready made motif to the bib front.
Great idea Yvonne 🤗

👍👍
Adam was doing so good until that coat, super sad seeing him go
Yes it was, I think he had a lot more to give sewing wise but it's the nature of the programme I guess 🤗
