A BIG SHOW full of sewing, dress making, couture chat! two things....See Carol's FUN SURPRISE for me at 1:00:42 and MASTERCLASS INFO at 1:10:42. Such a fun show this. Thank you for all your comments and for coming back to watch, as I say in the opening few minutes it has made a HUGE IMPACT on the shop this month which is always our hardest time, July and August. So thank you.
Hi Carol and Stuart, I am an avid watcher of "All gathered Up". I really appreciate the time and effort that you both put into each episode. I have been sewing since my Mum taught me as a child and I remember making a full circle skirt at home at the age of 10 or 11. I love learning new things and I always learn at least one thing from each episode of "All Gathered Up". I made a boned bodice dress to wear at a ball when I was 18 but I didn't know that I could smooth the ends using a lighter until a few days ago! So, thank you again, I really love Stuarts enthusiasm and the way that you interact together. I am intrigued about the Masterclass. What would the costs be as a participant/viewer. Would it take place in person or online? I am not in a position to pay for an expensive masterclass but would love to know more. With thanks, best wishes and happy sewing, Sue.
Thank you Stuart and Carol. Another interesting and enjoyable Video. The under bust boned Corset Carol hade made was lovely. A lovely and very talented lady. The made to measure was my favourite part of the show. Yes I also think your videos with Ting and Carol are better than the actual GBSB programme. Thank you Stuart for bringing these videos to us all. Looking forward to the Masterclass, but I will be a viewer, not a sewer. Think along the line of Can you pat your head and rub your tummy at the same time. That's a no from me!!! So I couldn't watch and sew at the same time, but looking forward to watching your sewers Carol and what they make. Thank you both again. 🙂👏
Thought Pasha's blouse was and piping was perfect and size of it was in good proportion. Alex's dress was great. She really met the brief 👍🏻 Yes Marcus's concept was good. Very Vivienne Westwood. Thanks for the tutorial Carol and info on boning. The codpiece surprise was very funny 😅 👍🏻🧵🪡
Masterclass so exciting. I sent the email right off 🤞 Carol's surprise for you Stuart, I love it. I was just wondering if you wear it right side up or right side down if it is similiar to an elephants trunk representing good fortune 😂😂 or downward trunk represents ability to conquer obstacles. 😂 me trying to be funny
Such talent.....both of you! Stuart, you are going to have to push granny squares. It's steady in the eighties here and I have to create something so I am making granny squares! So glad I made it to the end and what an end!!! Wow! Brilliant! Can't be unseen!
Wow, that was great coverage of my questions, thanks! I definitely hadn't picked up the detail about stopping the piping by folding it across the seam allowance. I suppose the contestants could have made sure of those inside corners by pinning the facing there first, and then easing it around the back of the neck as necessary. Stuart, when you talked about your need for shirt fitting adjustments I had a flashback to Kiell trying on Luke's pyjama top.
Thanks for your questions! I'm glad we managed to cover the what you needed. And your point is important - look at where your embellishment will end up, and work back from this.
Well thank you! As you can see it has helped my shop immensely at a time when it’s at it quietest - RUclips makes a huge difference when doing these two shows
I think the timing is still too short for the details and fabrics chosen. Although the PJ tops are finished, because of the time constraints these do look quite poorly sewn - button hole issues, inconsistent piping, lack of pressing, etc. To me they arent showing garments we as home sewists wish to aspire too.

Thanks for the Masterclass plug, Stuart - we have a few stitchers that have enquired already!
Thankyou Stuart and carol …great advice and tips regarding piping and using boning . I’m looking forward to the master class
The cups being away from the bust could be used for keeping snacks in when attending the Oscars

I just so look forward to your weekly input. It’s far better than the actual program. Carol Alayne is so knowledgeable. You make a great team. Xx

As always a great show full of tips, I'm not sure what I'm looking forward to more, the masterclass or seeing Stuart modelling Carol's surprise gift 😂

I love Susie's dress with those colours. Wish she had time to get some red on the skirt.

Tune in next week, I've prepped some AMAZING sewing deals from the old sewing stock I used to have.Threads especially!!
I've got a new sewing machine recently - can we see how to use piping foot?

A french curve to be used?
The garments might be finished but the finish is a bit rough! The time provided is clearly inadequate
