Maybe we should all have a global “Coming out of COVID Ball” as things open back up and we can make some red-carpet worthy gowns? I don’t have much call for that type of look in my normal life and even less so in my work-from-home lockdown looks I’ve been wearing for 15 months. Great pattern finds, as always, Sam.
Thanks Sam- always loads of great info from you Esme & Patrick must have had such a hard time choosing the winner this time for the GBSB. Every one of them was potentially THE winner but to me they were all winners. 🤓🏴
I really enjoyed this season, there were quite a few lol moments and think that Esme and Patrick made the right decision although I wasn’t fond of Serena’s yellow dress. I’ll miss it but still have your frugal Fridays to look forward to! The corset on Mood’s website is by Helen Castillo who was on Project Runway which might explain why the instructions are more in depth. Something Delightful are having another sale with McCalls and Butterick patterns at $4.99 which have digital options, yay! Vogue and Kwik Sew are on sale too for those who can get them posted in the U.S, I think it’s high time that Vogue got their stuff together and joined the digital pattern train!
Oh I didn't know about Helen Castillo, so thanks for the information Rhondda & thanks for the heads up about Something Delightful - I agree about Vogue, if the smaller independent designers can digitise, it's high time they did, I know some people prefer printed patterns & I understand that but it would be great for accessibility. A fairer pricing structure for the 'Big 4' worldwide would also be good but would more than likely hike prices up to the highest rather than down to the lowest!
You described Rebecca's fabric in the final round as scuba fabric? Do you mean neoprene like a scuba diving suit? It may just be a UK vs US misunderstanding. I've been enjoying your series.
Hi Donna, no it's not neoprene, it's a very stable polyester knit, not as thick or rubbery as neoprene, which usually has good recovery when stretched, the designs are generally printed, rather than woven & often the reverse side is white
Thank you for sharing
My pleasure Tracey 🤗

I agree Mags, I'm glad I'm not a judge, it was a tough call but a well deserved win for lovely Serena 🤗
Thanks for the sew together for summer hashtags!!! I didn’t notice that.
You're welcome Raquel! I think it's probably easier for them to find this years entries 😊
Thanks so much for another interesting video. Appreciate all the hard work that goes into it. Thanks so much again for the shout out 🙂❤
