Jorah's dad is Jeor Mormont, the Lord Commander of the Night's Watch (the older guy with the beard who gives a speech to the men who are about to take their vows). Even so, within this world, there seem to be some characters who are more good than not, and Ned's at the top of the list -- the closest we have to an aspirational hero. But even with Ned, we can see that there are drawbacks to being so single-mindedly adherent to an ideal. Like: he '𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝘆' brought home his bastard to raise alongside his legitimate kids. In this case, his honor was more important than considering the effect on his wife -- no discussion -- and it ended up being an extraordinarily painful situation for both his wife and the kid. Ned's only take-away from that situation, regarding Jaime, was that in kiIIing the King, Jaime broke his vows to protect the King. Fun fact, that stag Tywin was skinning in the tent was real, and he really just skinned a whole ahh animal while giving a fire lecture to his son. Also, don’t worry, you had it right. It’s pronounced (sir-SEE)
Love your commentary! I think something that the author (and hence the show) does is tries to take a character trait (often a good one) and push it to an extreme. So Ned is noble and honorable, which are generally seen as virtues, but taken too far he is unbending and too easily outmanoeuvred by people who are more unscrupulous. Cersei is a loving mother to her children, but taken too far she turns ruthless and will do *anything* to protect them, no matter who gets hurt in the process.
The Andals are the race of people that make up most of the southern half of Westeros. They came across the Narrow sea from Essos after the First men and colonized most of Westeros south of the neck. This isn’t really a spoiler for the show just Westerosi history
Just for context (big but helpful explanation): the originals habitants of westeros are the children of the forest, that are creatures similar to humans. The first group of people to invade westeros from essos were the first men, that basically slathered the children of the forest almost to extinction. Then the andals invaded westeros and fought the first men, winning basically everywhere except for the north. And then there are the roinars, that went to dorne. So basically there are 3 groups of people that came to westeros. The people from the north and wildlings are descendent from the first men, the dornish from the roinars and the rest of westeros from the andals
The fight little finger is talking about was with Brandon stark who got burnt by the mad king along with Ned’s father Brandon before his death got challenged for the hand of catlin Tully/ stark Brandon won the fight cutting little finger
Yes, Jorah Mormont and Lord Commander (Jeor) Mormont are related. House Mormont is based on a island (Bear Island) off the coast of the North, and are vassals of the Starks.) Jeor took joined the Night's Watch so his son could become Lord of Bear Island. But then Jorah was exiled for selling slaves by Ned. Jeor's sister Maege (Jorah's aunt) rules on Bear Island at this point, which is considered unsual, for a woman to be in charge. This is perhaps more information than you require. Also all the Stark direwolves are the same gender as the Stark or Snow child that they belong to. So Ghost is a male. Summer is a male. Lady was a female, etc.
"Jorah the Andal" is just what the Dothraki call him, which basically just means "Jorah the white guy" lol. Andalos is a reigon in the north of their continent.
“Jorah the Caucasian” (so named because he comes from the Caucuses).

Fun fact, that stag Tywin was skinning in the tent was real, and he really just skinned a whole ahh animal while giving a fire lecture to his son.
Also, don’t worry, you had it right. It’s pronounced (sir-SEE)
GRRM himself pronounces it "Ser-say", but he also said he doesn't care how people pronounce the names in his books
The girl is a wilding. They said that in her first appearance. The show has a lot of information to present so everyone benefits from rewatches.

The intros r hilarious
I love how you see everything. Fire reaction.
You're killin it. Loving the reactions.
I've been waiting for this the whole week...
The Andals will be talked about in season lore to some extent

Lord Commander Jehor Mormont is Jorah's father, House Mormont of Bears Island
Will you stop calling that man Humpty?!? 😂😂😂 Great reaction!
Disrespecting Sam so much. 😂
@@that.ll_do_pig Right?!? 😆
I see you enjoying watching Cersei (We love to hate her), AND SHE WILL DELIVER IT ALL THE SEASONS TO COME.
