- No family due over today, so I can take my time - Why not join me for a seawall walk, then along the Seafront to see the Morris Dancers - Home via the triangle where the local group, the 'Back Beach Boyz' were performing to a huge crowd!

Awww that 3 legged dog gets his steps in. Looks such a happy dog even with his problems. Obviously he's not bothered. If only humans were like that

Hi Bill, Well, the Morris Dancers really brightened a dreary looking day. Fancy seeing the Watcombe doggos on the beach. A bit of an easier walk for the three-legged one, although it doesn't seem to affect it much. See you tomorrow mate.
Yes, that 3 legged dog seemed to manage watcombe better that the white one - Up and down those steps, under feet over and over again - Nice to see them again on the beach 👍👍👍

Great video with loads of variety for all. So nice to see so many folk out enjoying themselves in lovely Teignmouth. The sea wall construction 'then and now' I thought 1970s? that's not very old but the penny drops it's fifty years🙀.😺

Would have loved to be there but did not know it was on. Used to live in a tiny village in Hertfordshire. Each year we had a Morris dance festival on the Sunday closet to midsummers day. Don’t remember it raining on any of the 7 years this festival happened while we lived there.
Lovely. I knew there was a folk festival / morris dancing event planned, but had zero idea that it was last weekend - Never saw it being advertised anywhere at all ! 👍👍👍

Amazing bill loved that footage. Brought back so many memories in my life personally. Home and at teignmouth on holiday. I was asked back in 1971 to be a mascot for our local morris dancing group. I was 9. My father performed for .. the Broadwood morris men in Horsham Sussex I then was asked to join the group and was taught eventually aged 10. And followed around the pubs. ( yes sitting in the corner silent after the performance Sometimes outside 😆😆). Great memories. Too old and put to much weight on now 🥴🥴 then the back street boys you shot. We were entertained on the den with them. A long time again. Excellent mate. Keep up your great work. I’ll find some footage and pics if interested. To you 👍👍 thanks bill see you in week

Hi Linda - Yes I sat and watched some of it off camera as well - I DO intend to do maidencombe - Prob in August I reckon - But it WILL happen - Just take some arranging and a bit of research first to do it justice 👍👍👍
