I like the FX clipper but I do prefer a more standard clipper shape, and the lo pro looks like it has it. Let's hope these clippers and trimmers cut as good as they look!

Every time I buy a set a new better set comes out! Crazy when the clipper world stayed the same for so long and now we have so much new stuff!
I just realized that recently. Wahl cordless Senior felt like all we had back in the day!
I bought the Trimmer on sale at Marshalls for $56.00 and it is alot better than my Black SC Saber 💯 hittin' out the Box!
I've been cutting since 1989 and became a professional barber in 2000. I have a few cordless clippers but I still use my corded fastfeeds. I don't get caught up in the newest and latest toys. As long as the blade moves, I'm good 👍. Stick with what you have until it breaks.

These remind me of the FX673 which I was a fan of. The FX673 had the same blade as these new clippers in steel and was a very reliable clipper. My only issue was powers switch placement.
I remember those. Body shapes not the same but I see what you mean, and the wedge blade. These are definitely better

Only weakness imo is the battery life on the clipper, once they get that part figured out you don’t need anything else. These are it imo and you can legit do everything with them if you wanted. You can make a deadly work station if you Pair these lopro fx clippers with some double magnetic guards or the new premium pro guards from Babyliss and you got a deadly fade/taper clipper, then add either the fx3 clipper or some supras for bulk removal, then for balding out/kids/sensitive skin use the lopro fx trimmer as is, use the skeleton fx for your hitters/line ups, lastly the fx3 foil shaver or the babyliss fx 02 foil shaver or even the SC Uno for skin tight blends and you don’t even need to look at any other clippers or trimmers. The only thing I would possibly consider updating or changing is if they had a longer life battery upgrade for the clipper to give it 3+ hours of run time instead of 2. Other than that though, the line up is perfection to me and I could work with that for years. Cheers🍻bro, good review but your sleeping on how good the dlc 2.0 blade really is and the wedge blade is just like the fusion from style craft, you get a taper and a fade blade all in one depending how you hold the clipper. Before using any trimmer or clipper I would recommend/suggest setting/zero gapping the blade.💈The wedge blade can take out any line once the blade is set and the dlc 2.0 trimmer blade feeds hair like a beast, the fine tooth blade is good for stubble but it pushes hair when there’s length to it unlike the dlc2.0 and it doesn’t glide against the skin like the dlc2.0 does. I like the Rebel as well but I only held it in my hand and for me it felt cheap and like an inferior product to the lopro fx. For me the metal housing makes it feel much more premium and rugged and it just feels incredible in the hand. The rebel doesn’t have the same ergonomics or something but it comes with way more accessories in the box
Definitely liking these the more I use them. The weight and body shape is just killer. I personally don’t have much issue with battery due to my schedule being so spaced out. Always have time to charge things back up. And I got the dlc hitting I may have to do a video on it itself 😮
@@Seancutshair I absolutely love them. That classic shape instead of the mag lite flashlight handle that I grew up on and they can do everything I need them to. I would enjoy seeing a new video on the dlc blade itself now that you have it hitting. It reminds me a lot of GTX blade but that coating keeps them cool. Personally I’ve always preferred the gtx over the standard T outliners but I know that’s a preference thing. Looking forward to more content and happy holidays

Bought a pair the other day. Honestly not what I expected, I had to zero gap them & change out the blade on the trimmers. Not worth the investment! Go with the 50 cals if you’re looking for a more detailed clipper.

Has anyone had any problems with the trimmer? Sooooo loud tried everything but can't seem to figure what's going on with them?
Mine weren’t crazy loud but definitely a little bit.
I think the noise is definitely a different pitch, i switched the blade to the og gold fx blade. Today I noticed the blade gets really hot & my trimmer doesn’t turn on sometimes when I flip the on/off switch. Starting to think mine came defective. 🥲
I didn’t like how my dlc blade cut at first until I bought the minute blade modifier. I bought a fine tooth blade and haven’t used it since.
The fine tooth is where it’s at!
I never used the babyliss clipper, would you say they are as strong as the seniors or are they more of a magic clip?
Definitely more like the seniors than a magic clip
So reverse is a senior I kinda like a metal back and plastic top feel on hand.. so These are plastic back and metal top right.
The top is metal yes. They feel super good in the hand 👌🏻

Seniors are still solid. If you like the click lever wait for these!

I never changed the blades. Been letting my guy Dre use them.

Currently using the rebels mostly. Didn’t like how the Lo pros open up. Rebel with fusion blade and stretch bracket 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

Would 0 gapping these help to take out the bald line easier? I don't know much about this stuff as I'm just trying to get I'm just cutting hair and need some good clippers. I'm debating between these and the rebels but if the rebels take out the bald line easier then I may go for them. However, if 0 gapping these will take the bald line out then I'll go for these.
I would say the rebels do easier but these could definitely be set closer and should do fine:

I don’t know if it’s just me but I am not a big fan of the BaByliss LimitedFx gold clipper, which sucks bc I really wanted to like them 😭 maybe i just need to try a different blade with it or adjust them a little differently but I find it so hard to take out guidelines with them. Sometimes when I’m putting in that blade open line, the hair just looks choppy… kinda makes me want some other back back up clippers. I’m work horsing my Caliber .50 cal mags right now.

I recommend the fine tooth fx blade. Fx707b is the graphite fine tooth. Not sure of the number for the gold. Either of those are what I’d recommend

No the fusion is closer to a fade blade, wedge is closer to a taper blade

Closer to the senior I’d say but maybe not as heavy. Definitely heavier than the magic clip
What's the difference between a wedge blade & taper blade?
I’m not 100% sure but based on experience the wedge blade doesn’t open up quite as far. Supposed to cut a little closer when closed as well as far as I know
Did you end up putting the taper blade on those clippers? If so, how do they take out the trimmer line now?
I did and honestly not loving it. I still didn’t gap them super close so I still use a trimmer for the line

I’d recommend a magic clip or senior, and a skeleton fx trimmer
get a rebel and ah skeleton trimmer , rebel over magic clip nd senior for sure it lasts 3hrs nd will help more since ah begginer will tend to take longer on cuts

No we don’t at the moment. Somebody said the skeleton clip will fit. It’s not shaped exactly right though but could possibly still charge it wirelessly

I just got the rebels in last week. I actually thought they were going to have a little bit more power. But still a pretty decent clipper. How would you compare the low pros, to the rebels? Just ordered the new Babyliss guards also. They should be in next week!
I’d say the lo pro’s feel like the fx clipper in a different body. Plenty powerful.

I just feel it lacks in power and has trouble running through bulk.
Try oiling them up
The fx are tricky I’ve had some that were just finicky. Others that have been solid. This is definitely an upgrade

@@Seancutshair in uk they don’t come with dlc blade and different packaging and there cheaper than the American ones. I no the fx are different in uk ours are called the super motor and come with cheap blades and are slightly smaller than the fx

Haven’t adjusted them yet. I would think they would. Going to put a taper blade on there and probably take the spring out so it’s not a click lever. Then adjust it so it’s closer
