LoganSoulsBorne4 thats because some players just suck been on teams that can't even get to damage phase. Than been on teams that 3 cycle him so it just depends on the skill of the team
I think anyone can benefit from videos discussing these intense PVE challenges, even casual players. For instance, I'm sure a lot of people don't know about the fact that Aksis tells you where he's going in his teleport. These challenges make every small detail of an encounter absolutely necessary to be aware of, and even someone who isn't worried about sololing Aksis can benefit from having a more intimate knowledge of the encounter
Hey datto, thought I would let you know that I actually managed to solo aksis. I also wanted to say thank you. Your strategies and explanation have allowed me to achieve such a challenge.
I only used one different strategy, and this may help some others as well. After I grabbed the cannon from the middle, I would look at the middle servitor and see what elemental cannon it matches. It was always going to match one of the cannons that I grabbed previously. If the servitor matched the cannon on the left (I guess from aksis’ point of view), I would grab the cannon on the right. If the servitor matched the cannon on the right, I would keep the cannon I am currently holding, shoot the first servitor, and then swap it with the cannon on the right and continue shooting. This way, i wouldn’t have to memorize what element the servitors are, it is just a match game. If anyone who reads this comment decides to try and solo aksis and use this method, I will say that it may take a bit of getting used to. (FYI I do know that d1 is dead and practically nobody is going to try and solo aksis.
nope VOG is soloable crota is soloable and Kingsfall is soloable by any class. and who knows maybe WOTM will be soloable by any class in the future by some glitch.
Overall great video, very informative and thourough without being needlessy complicated. Minor additions I'd make include how to know what the servitor order is going to be. At 4:50 after you pick up the second cannon you can look across the room and see the Arc servitor is first. From here you know enough to know the whole order. If the cannon you have in your hands is the same element it's what I referred to as the "bad" set, since you'll have to swap the cannons one extra time, which is what Datto had here. If the cannon in your hands is different then it's the "good" set where the last cannon you pick up from the middle will be the one you use first, meaning one less swap. You can also see the second servitor clearly as you're coming up the stairs with the third cannon as a backup. I'd also recommend swapping the sides you drop the first two cannons off at since this will clean up the line you need to make going around swapping cannons as you kill Servitors, buying you an extra second or so. Also just to note there are 5 Shanks on "your side" which in this case is the right of the room, 7 in the middle, and 7 on the "far side" in this case the left. 19 Shanks, 3 Captains, and 3 Servitors means you should have 25 kills per round, which is useful to keep track of your progress on the wipe screen in my opinion. Killing every last enemy before DPS is very possible and I strongly recommend it, as it avoids Servitor pathing issues, sword skating into Shanks, and of course dying to Shanks mid DPS. My method was aggro the mid Shanks very thoroughly by continually shooting the mid pillar thing (just to the right at 5:02,) during his first teleport. This usually kept the Shanks from going up the stairs making it easy to throw a single grenade to kill ~5 of them and clean up the last couple with my primary. Then look hard left to kill the 3 Shanks in front of the Captain's spawn door, then look right to kill the 2 last Shanks on "your side." When you jump over the wall to the left side to kill the second Captain one Solar grenade will usually kill ~5 of the hopefully grouped up Shanks. After you throw the second bomb there are usually 2-3 Shanks remaining to the left of the last bomb, and I threw one Solar grenade at them to finish completely clearing the room pre DPS. Very helpful in my opinion. Lastly positioning during DPS is key in order to clearly read his teleport and have a straight forward line to cover all places he can teleport. If he's on the right I'd stand at the bottom of left stairs, and vice versa if he's on the left. If he was in mid I would stand on the middle box between the stairs. Always be as centralized as possible to help differentiate when reading his teleports. The more skewed your view is the more the little spiral going left looks like it's going middle or back, etc. Getting the hang of this helped me make tremendous progress on my last day or two of attempts. Anyway, there are a million and one of these little tips you need to learn if you're going to attempt this, it all looks really easy until you try it yourself and realize how little you actually understand about what its going on, and why everything works, at least, that's how it was for me. Thanks for making this, Datto.
Great video Datto, the explanation this challenge deserves, minus some random facts, it's great. 20-25 hours is the average for most of the people who completed the challenge, Datto is the nº 34 who has completed it. One thing that i see important is control scheme, some actions during this fight get significantly easier using stuff like an Elite controller/Scuf, using Claw grip, those who are Regular users like me will find a huge problem with this.
josecitoxnyo the mst complex thing datto did in here controls wise was the sword dash which on a standard controller and setup up is jump swing jump, you dont need a scuff to be "better" it just is practice and how much time you put in
lorenzo valenzuela It's not "you need a scuff" to be better thing, you literally can't sprint while turning and pick up something from the ground while using a Regular scheme, you need change the positions of your fingers (claw grip) or a controller with an extra button. And no, sword skating is not complex at all.
The ability to claw grip controllers makes it to where you dont need to spend money on a scuff, granted it is more difficult, it isnt impossible to do, if you want to buy a scuff for ease of play go for it, but you dont need it, there are plenty of people who claw grip just fine and dont need a scuff, thats all im saying
It's something I totally blanked on discussing. I'm very glad I was able to do this with a standard controller on a default layout because I know a lot of people can't afford more advanced controllers. I don't even really consider myself a Claw player, even though I do some moves that a Claw player would use. I don't really consider these moves to be too complex though, but I guess for some players it would take a little getting used to.
Datto, you're awesome. Big time congrats on this accomplishment and that was an excellent guide as well. I've learned so much from your videos and appreciate all your hard work very much!
Great video and some useful tips. Was watching you do this on live stream but didn't see the live completion unfortunately Might give this a go, last time I did a solo boss fight was back in the days of Crota
Warlocks: Really strong, can self revive and shoot lightning from their fingertips. Biggest weakness? Slipping off any ledge and never being able to recover before falling to their deaths.
One of the reasons why that Video Games are fucking awesome. So much passion, technique, and math. For 1 single fight. Imagine the thousands of video games that have various challenging moments and encounters. It's truly amazing!
Great video! Can we expect a solo Oryx any time soon? It's alot more easier now because of higher light and you can use a 400 Touch or Malice to stun him
I know you don't think so, but content, video wise, experience and all makes you the best, and I mean THE BEST destiny RUclipsr & one of the greatest players
had to put a like on this one cause i finally went back and solo crota for flawless and although that is by far the easiest way to get flawless i had to practice that for awhile to get it down can''t even imagine the mount of patience and effort needed to solo this one even if it is just the boss stage
ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL ! Great , move by move by outstanding move!. The absolute best walk through on RUclips! THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO BREAK THIS DOWN. I love your videos and are completely gratified to your contribution to the Destiny community! Appreciate you my brother. Anytime you need new meat, XI SEMPERFI IX! "Semper fidelis - "Always Faithful"
Does it have to be the burning eye or can it be any Hung Jury-type scout with explosive rounds, brand new FWC Waiting scout with explosive, perfect balance, and firefly?
Idk if people are talking about end raid bosses or the full raid themselves. But the only Raid any class can solo completely is Crota. If you say Solo the end Raid boss, that stupid because you needed help to get to said boss.
I've done this with my Warlock on nm. Took me around 6-7 tries, but I eventually got it. High Agility helped a lot. I honestly learned by watching this guy on RUclips do it. Regardless, it takes some practice.
I have no doubt that I could do this (or any other "serious" Destiny player for that matter), but 25 hours seems like a fairly large time investment that I'm not sure I'm willing to make. Does it normally take people 20+ hours to learn or do some people get it down faster?
It took me a while because I had basically zero experience with sword skating and wasn't too good at reading the teleports for a while. A lot of people lately have been able to do it in 10-15, but it'll ultimately come down to individual skill.
The shortest time on the list is 9 hours, and the longest ones are up to 50. I got it in about 15-18, but it was earlier and the strat wasn't as perfected as it is now. With concentrated practice following a guide like this, and with some specific help and tips from other people I bet a very confident Warlock could do it in as little as 5, if they already have all the mechanical stuff down.
Do you mean below average players? I know plenty of casuals getting to the lighthouse every week. There's no secret or conspiracy in getting to the lighthouse. You play Trials, you play as a team, you win or you lose. A lot of it is skill-based. I could give you some very half-assed advice that everyone says that ultimately means nothing like "communicate with your team," "stick together," and other crap, but that's not gonna really help. Besides, people here don't care about my opinions or strategy on PvP anyway.
Datto Wow, you actually responded! My main problem is that I don't have any dependable friends online, and Destiny Forums aren't reliable. And how exactly does one 'guarantee' flawless runs? I'll be grateful if you could recommend anything to help. Thanks.
Why attempt this challenge...when I can repeatedly smack my head against a marble staircase for the same effect?
Mark R haha
Hey, marble is expensive.
You manage to slam all the way from middle to right and some people in raids forget to turn around and slam when he's right behind smh
LoganSoulsBorne4 thats because some players just suck been on teams that can't even get to damage phase. Than been on teams that 3 cycle him so it just depends on the skill of the team
i haven't been on a team that can beat him. at least not with me on it, lol.
Vanilla Khvostov vs Aksis
how
On Hard mode
Blank yes
Blank I would pay anyone who did that.
it wasn't possible on year one Atheon, what makes you think Aksis would be any different?
I guess you could say this method need to be perfected.
Nathan Lewis Well you are in the perfection complex
S t o p
This was incredible Datto. Well done!
The start of Gladd doing crazy shit.

There is no way I could do something this stressful
Dark Souls my dude
Spooky Scary Skeleton I have beaten all three and I still wouldn't want to do this :p
Spooky Scary Skeleton dark souls isnt even that hard, try castlevania.... no checkpoints and its 2d much harder

I also forgot to mention that I managed to do it again using the cannon glitch on a titan.
This is a FANTASTIC video. Loved scardrow and slayerages videos, but this is exactly why I follow your channel.
yeah well i can solo crota
Gabriel Macaluso yeah Lots of people can it isn't that hard
Brennan Swartout that's the joke
Warlocks are the only class that can solo two of the four raids so far. Warlock master class baby!
xTGE well not the whole raid
RoyaltonDrummer922 actually yes
xTGE All classes can solo atheon and crota, titan and warlocks can solo oryx and only warlocks can solo aksis.
nope VOG is soloable crota is soloable and Kingsfall is soloable by any class. and who knows maybe WOTM will be soloable by any class in the future by some glitch.
hunters can too
I hope this comes back

Great guide.
Datto, you sir are STILL a legend. Amazing stuff.
Fantastic guide, now we see why only a handful of players have completed this challenge.
aksis of symmetry
Your voice makes me happy
Solo RANDAL!!!!!!!
Blade Voltz can't he's to op
jonthan lo I done it
Pyromania23 you don't have to lie to us
Blade Voltz there are too many mechanics, its so confusing.
Datto, you're awesome. Big time congrats on this accomplishment and that was an excellent guide as well. I've learned so much from your videos and appreciate all your hard work very much!
I loved this, finally something that was challengig for Datto too. Could you make failmontage datto, to illustrate how many tries it took?
Are you asking the man to sort through 35 hours of footage that basically started to look the same after 10 minutes...
My apologies, I did not know it took that long to complete/perfect. And in that case, forget about it
I'm now imaging datto in a lfg group on hard and everybody except of him is dead. Everybody keeps telling him to wipe but he solos the encounter
Thanks Daddo this really helped me because I finally was able to solo him today using mostly your strat with a bit of tweaks
Great video and some useful tips. Was watching you do this on live stream but didn't see the live completion unfortunately
Might give this a go, last time I did a solo boss fight was back in the days of Crota

This is the video everyone wanted I think Datto (as compared to just the footage)
I know you don't think so, but content, video wise, experience and all makes you the best, and I mean THE BEST destiny RUclipsr & one of the greatest players
MiddleAchille PvE yes, PvE no
Glad to see you finally did it! How many aspirin did you go through? Lol. Bravo my friend!
had to put a like on this one cause i finally went back and solo crota for flawless and although that is by far the easiest way to get flawless i had to practice that for awhile to get it down
can''t even imagine the mount of patience and effort needed to solo this one even if it is just the boss stage
like the cannon addition Datto
wow after doing the challenge and completing it, you were not wrong about it being ruff. You half to be perfect each time
Insanely good video Datto.
awesome video datto, i learn something new & exciting everytime i watch 1 of your vids :) keep up the great work !!
I have said it once and I'll say it again
WARLOCK MASTER RACE!!!
WE DO NOT USE THE LIGHT WE MASTER IT!!!!!!
what are your thoughts on slayerage's solo Siege engine ?and his explaining on use of a Macro ?
The FWC scout rifle wonded with explosive rounds can also one shot the shanks
you are a destiny god , much love
This is still the only D1 raid I never even bothered trying. All my friends moved on by the time it came out
Arbiter I can help if you want to do it
Arbiter too bad. Easily the best raid bungie has ever made
Nice vid Datto!
I like the solo Crota video reference.
Thanks for the breakdown Datto!
Now do solo Oryx. Yes, it's possible. It has been done.(If you do this I hope you don't go insane)
take a shot every time he says 'utilise'
That was very interesting, i didnt see the 15mn running
I wish i had a sword to try that
This actually helped me solo it... It took me 6 hours though. It was the hardest thing I've ever done, way harder than soloing oryx.
on your razelighter. did you use the perk for more ammo or for more damage with your uppercut?
Skating...reminds me of when you used to could make Mario skate on one foot on the original Nintendo...fun times!
and yes, I am old but still gaming!
Does it have to be the burning eye or can it be any Hung Jury-type scout with explosive rounds, brand new FWC Waiting scout with explosive, perfect balance, and firefly?
Datto is floor gang confirmed.
Congrats again!
hey datto u should do "burn the world " challenge like did with the warprist
Idk if people are talking about end raid bosses or the full raid themselves. But the only Raid any class can solo completely is Crota. If you say Solo the end Raid boss, that stupid because you needed help to get to said boss.
Kudos for getting it done. Way too much of a time sink and requires an obscene level of skill and dedication to do this kind of thing.
The sad part is that this is more efficient than 6 people.
I just wana say that even in 2021 I still think the burning eye is the best looking weapon ever in destiny
Boolean Gemini wrecks in pvp since it got high caliber rounds added. That combined with unflinching...just try it.
2 manning him is easy. One manning him is so hard
So do u need max agility or can you stick with max armor for your subclass build to actually be fast enough ?
Shadows of Weevil the easiest is mid armor and and mid agility with high recovery
Datto, you've earned a new sub! challenge excepted!
Solo oryx next, Kappa Great vid, got to find myself a normal team to give it a try tomorow, and the whole week after that.
This is incredible!
Hey Datto any tips for hard mode? I just recently unlocked it
don't die, and get 400's to carry you
Majestic Beast dont die
if ur a lower light level than 385 get ur armor up
I've done this with my Warlock on nm. Took me around 6-7 tries, but I eventually got it. High Agility helped a lot. I honestly learned by watching this guy on RUclips do it. Regardless, it takes some practice.
Damn datto nice work
what gun u use?
Can hard mode be soloed? I don't think so
Another confirmation that scrublocks are the cheese class. #TitanMasterClass.
Wazum Melon and why you should stay in your PvP
should use Starfire protocol/ToF/Viking Funeral rather than sun breakers. Does a bunch more damage
Less effective on Shanks, Solar Grenade covers a wider area so you can kill more in one throw
I have no doubt that I could do this (or any other "serious" Destiny player for that matter), but 25 hours seems like a fairly large time investment that I'm not sure I'm willing to make. Does it normally take people 20+ hours to learn or do some people get it down faster?

Datto Okay, thanks for the info. Great video by the way, as usual.
I'm not even willing to spend the time getting a character from level 1 to 40 let alone do the same thing for 20-25+ hours...
#teamground!! excellent work dude
Esoteric did it on a hunter somehow. P.s Datto you should try to solo oryx
Comments are so toxic because a warlock can solo Aksis but hunters and titans can't lmao
Pyromania23 cause they are talking about how unbalanced warlocks are lol
Pyromania23 being able to solo things because of self res is what makes a warlock actually good
not yet is my gues
Master Gaming only thing
Master Gaming yeah but remember most people, cant/won't bother doing it.
At 7:20. You are soo lucky Datto, if that was me I would have lost empowerment lol (and yes it's happened too many times).
I know the feels bro, you're normt alone🙃
Nice spilling btw
+jesse fernandez I meant not c'mon man
+jesse fernandez also spilling?
is a joke man I was just trying to male you chuckle a bit okay no ham feeling right
What is your actual warlock viking funeral build look like so I can match it.
SwiftHD Grim viking funeral touch of flame and solar flares
Great Vid
I am 385 light now and I still haven't done the raid. Nobody wants you unless you are 390 and above. It kind of sucks but I willmake it there.
it's weird how I'm watching this on how to do it even tho I haven't even done hard mode yet
I thought you could also sword skate with a titan even though it might be a bit more difficult I've done it with the exact same technique
Maybe it's a bit slower tho idk
Sadly this for me has always been the real 'endgame' of Destiny, soloing raids and carrying players to the lighthouse
High noon aksis done
EpslionBear he has pretty much exactly 11750000
great video
I love you Datto!
not to make things more complicated but.....Ice breaker vs. axis raid would be and interesting video...just saying
Wont try this but love the video is is much appriciapted
So Warlock Master Race???
What glide is the best?
Finn nevill focused burst probably because of the burst of speed. but I might be wrong.
I use burst.
what do you mean with "one of the hardest challenges"
Fabian Schmidt hardest things to do in the game
Whats that kinetic weapon u were using?
The burning Eye scout. It's from trials
I feel like soloing oryx is harder cause its more reliant or AI rng
On*
I do t think u can solo hm because of the damage drop off
So u cant do it without Sword Skating?
Malcolm X possible but much harder with the greater time restraints
I was about to say isn't oryx solo the hardest I mean it has to be at least one of the top two but
nice datto!
Make a guide for CASUALS, NOT NOLIFES, on how to get flawless. My best card is 2-3 w/l, and need any help I can get.
G Brag lol
If you're looking for casual guides and gameplay, this probably isn't the right place.
Do you mean below average players? I know plenty of casuals getting to the lighthouse every week. There's no secret or conspiracy in getting to the lighthouse. Besides, people here don't care about my opinions or strategy on PvP anyway.
If you suck at pvp you have 2 options. 1. Get carried by a streamer or 2. Git gud
Datto Wow, you actually responded! My main problem is that I don't have any dependable friends online, and Destiny Forums aren't reliable. And how exactly does one 'guarantee' flawless runs? I'll be grateful if you could recommend anything to help. Thanks.
you the boss datto
