  • Getting help from the D8T on site, to remove mud and grade the tracks left from the trucks! Heavy rain has made the site muddy and its hard for the trucks to maneuver, and for me to float.
The trucks changes lanes every load, so they never come to the same position for loading. The ground couldn't hold more than a few passes, so I just have to adapt to help them avoid running stuck..
We are removing the bench in first half of the video, and in the second halv we are advancing the last corner of the pile!
The pile falls steep right next to me, so after loading out this final bench, the D8T pushed the rest down to fill the rock cut beneath me!

Nice footage I could watch these videos all day. I would like to see where the material is dumped

Hi!🙂 Thank you for watching, and for your kind comment!
I am filming most of my videos myself, but I can see if I can get a video of “both ends” of the operation in new videos in the future!
However, this project was to completing a landfill, so the trucks were dumping the materials in the bottom of the cut you see behind the bucket, where I am filling it!
Thanks for your point of view!😊

I'd love to play in a D8 or D9 for a day. Those are some pushing machines. I spent a fair amount of time in a D6T, I can only imagine what those bigger dozers will do.

So do I! 🤩 I have never worked with larger dozers than D6's myself, and the first time I saw a D8 in action was after I got employed in this company. Its only amazing to see a D8 push, almost twice the weight of a D6, not stopping for anything! 🤩😅 This one has a "carry setup" as well, when the blade is full, it tilts the blade backwards and sort of lifts the material up from the ground gaining maximum traction! 😍

As I have always said you have to be careful about what you wish for. I have watched you operate excavators for quite a while now and I don’t think I have witnessed anyone better. If you bring your talent to the seat of a bulldozer you might get trapped into running one full time. Trust me when I tell you, the ride is nowhere near the same😭👎

Hehe, thank you for the good advice! 🤗😅
Running a dozer full-time is not my first choice, but its fun to push some piles now and then..😜 And sometimes it could be nice to have less to think about, I tend to lay a bit to hard expectations on myself, sometimes I feel like a magnet to responsibility..🤪 However, I think its nice to gain a bit of experience with all machines, to get a better picture of what's needed to contribute to full production for everyone! Not knowing limits, demands or advantages, don't exactly make one capable of seeing good solutions when meeting challenges!
Thank you so much for your gracious comment, what you write makes me smile as I grow more conceous in what I do! 🤗

With your magnet to responsibility and the right attitude which you certainly seem to demonstrate, we will be watching you drive around that quarry operation in a pickup truck in no time trying to keep everything going at the pace that you seem to set for your company😜👍

Maybe,, in time..😜😅 For now it is just too fun operating myself, but when the physics dont allow me to move mountains myself, it can be a thought to let the head and vocabulary take over for my hands..😄
Thanks again for your kind comment, it is truly warming to read what you write! 🤗
