Oh, my gosh. I know I'm "across the pond" here in America, but this is so incredibly sad. I can see my wife doing the same as this sweet lady, whoever she was: we're in our late '60s now and if I was to pass away before she does there is no reason to stay and experience the grief a deceased loved one would leave behind. And just look at the British flags along the walls! They obviously loved their country and they loved each other. Thank you for being so respectful of their belongings, that speaks volumes.
That's one of many things that I like about Abandoned World Explorer, and that is that he is always respectful and he reflects on what in might have been like to live in that home and the lives of the people who lived there. He also treats all of their property with respect: takes nothing, damages nothing. That's the way exploring should be done!
The flags on the walls look like there was some sort of event taking place, the house might have been used as a venue... or there was some sort of party. They are just cheap party ware.
It is lovely to see young people so inspired by history, old buildings and past lives. I am 52 and restoring an old Victorian house and I also collect antiques not for their monetary value but because they fascinate me. I started off like you. Never stop doing what you are doing. Revisiting the past and preserving it for future generations is really important and it is done by people just like you. You see past the mess and see what it really there. I love this video.
It literally hurts my heart to see these beautiful home vandalized, deteriorating, and the memories that get left behind. Thank You so much for doing what you do. Someone like me may never get to see houses like this. Awesome!!! Be careful and stay safe.
My Siamese cat Figaro was stolen and sold from my central London enclosed gardens and I searched and posted two hundred and fifty colour posters for four months. I really like your idea to track down family members to give them the old photos and boxes of film. Can you imagine what's on that reel from 1931, titled Fancy Dress! Possibly some grandchild or great grandchild would be happy to have the artifacts of their ancestors Wonderful idea!
@@eumungeriejem2549 I am doing the same on Ancestry. At 68, I am the family matriarch in my family. My late husband's mother is still alive at 97, and I have included that side of the family also with some very old pictures from their, and their ancestors lives in Latvia and Russia. A very rewarding hobby. Last time I saw Mom and showed her her tree with pictures and stories, she was so pleased that the family history was being preserved.
Love how respectful you are and how you want to save the photos shows how much you care and how passionate you are about doing this, so glad i stumbled on your channel.watching from Australia!
At 24:21 someone's desk overlooking the garden. So glad you captured that before it disappears. And the wedding photo from a far distant time; so long ago it's like another world. Marvellous! This feels like a family home where there was a good long history of love. But you never know what you are waking into! Not all are places where there was love & security or happiness... Be careful.
To think this once grand, beautiful home was loved and lived in, only to deteriorate hurts my heart a little. The history there... the life that once was... it's utterly heartbreaking to see these old houses become so lifeless and unloved.
I would report this house to the local historical society. They could find out, as could you, the status of the estate. It is well worth preservation and a good historical society could obtain grants and make it happen. Back in the day this was a grand home. It is sad to see the interior trashed but unfortunately we have an element in our society that is rather fond of destroying things. And you are right, they don't build homes like this today. This is a work of art. Good find. Cheers
*Michael Beach* Amen brother! That's exactly what this house needs....needs to be deemed a historical site...you should really tell this guy to follow up on that since he knows it's location
It's already a Grade II listed property, so I would think the local historical society is aware of its existence. And the location is pretty easy to find online, although I only found a couple of photos.
@@TeamTrumpUSA Hey, I'm in Florida, I never heard of that either. But it was mentioned in the description so I started the Googling. It looks like they may have more of those Grade II listed places over there than they can restore.

It's so sad that beautiful house has just been left to rot. She must have loved him so much. I hope her family have the money and desire to save the house and rescue it some day, before it's too late.
Will someone please try to save this beautiful house! It is so sad to see something as warm and lovely as this house being allowed to die! I wish someone would figure out how to buy this house and restore it!
This was a great look at grand old house thanks for showing it to us and appreciate the respect you displayed as well. The house was truly was magnificent but my favorite thing was that stunning willow tree.and iron strap hinged entry doors.
What a stunner! Loved everything about this beautiful place, the lady living there would never be able to upkeep a place that size, she must have been sad to leave.
Absolutely amazing! What a beautiful home. I am sure the family had many wonderful memories in that place. The windows are absolutely beautiful. The ceilings are absolutely beautiful. All of the little details are so beautiful.
Oh no! lol Hope youre ok, sorry about the camera/gimble! Beautiful home, even as destroyed as it is. Ill never understand how people can go into a location like this, someones home, and destroy things, the pics and the LPs. A beautiful building, such a shame it was just left to rot away like that. You have gotten me hooked on looking at these videos, it's amazing how many mansions and big houses are just abandoned. Thank you.
Almost criminal to see such a great house falling apart, Have you ever searched for the property to see if it is for sale? Would love to know if one could buy it.
What a charming home. Back in the day people built with such creativity. I'll bet Harvey is off enjoying the fine weather making new friends, likely lady friends. Male cats can be gone for very long stretches of time. Try not to worry. From Vancouver Island, Canada
When I saw pictures, I'm hurted somewhere inside my heart.... I think the film maker of this channel would appreciate every single moments with his home and family very deeply emotion unlike anybody ever did. You found treasures, and that are not about money.
I don’t understand my life-long interest in these abandoned houses. Even as a child seeing old small abandoned farm houses as I passed by I felt sadness. I feel sad for the house itself. Like it actually feels lonely, abandoned holding itself together against great odds that one day someone will come along, move in and love it again as it once was. I suppose I’m projecting my own sadness and abandonment as a child.
Love how you explore these places with dignity and respect to the previous owners. You can feel the emotions in your voice at times, lovely video and I'm always amazed how these places can be simply left to decay which is a terrible shame. Many thanks for a great video, as always take care........
As always with these abandoned homes with everything left in, we'd love to know the whole REAL story. Maybe it's the mystery and rumour that makes them even more interesting. In this case, I can understand the widow not wanting to live in the house but what about the rest of the family? Why didn't they clear the house and sell it for example?
I watch these abandoned places all the time but for some reason this one made me feel so very sad that I couldn’t watch it to the end. A beautiful place and so tragic that it has been left to ruin.
Would be so cool if you could track down some family members and see what they have to say. Imagine being so privileged as to walk into this place with a roaring fire and family dogs and cats to greet you. I will stay tuned!
I love your honest style of presenting, mate. You clearly genuinely love places like this. When i was younger and I'd already moved down south, and before this exploring milarkey, I stumbled on a few abandoned houses and it felt such a privilige to get in there and soak up the feel and the history. If only that woman had thought to give this to the National Trust when she flitted.
I was just watching this for a straight 30 minutes and then realised its about 20 minutes away from where I live! A local ghost hunting group were there recently and I think a politician lived there 🤔 great video! X

Your videos are really amazing. I enjoy them very much, and I like how you respect the things you see. Thank you for sharing and looking forward to more of your videos.
You hit me square in the Heart when you said, Makes You Wonder What Life is All About. I've been wondering that alot lately being all alone since my beautiful Wife Died. There's Nothing, I'm just waiting everyday for my turn.
I just happened to find you on You Tube and love your exploring. Thanks for this cool film about this mansion. Love your heart for the history of these buildings. Be safe - good job with the rebreather. Good job!
It really is heart breaking to see our heritage in ruins , but thanks to you for showing us these beauties xoxo
I can feel the love that once was there...…….
This is one of the most beautiful homes I have ever seen. The detail and architecture is amazing. TY for sharing. Sorry to hear about the ending accident...
I think I subbed a while back but this is the first full video I've watched... bloody hell what have I been missing XD
The binge-watch is on when I get home from work tonight :)
This is stunning! If that was my grandparents house I would do anything to save it all 💔
Hi Dave love your videos keep up great work
This was a great look at grand old house thanks for showing it to us and appreciate the respect you displayed as well. The house was truly was magnificent but my favorite thing was that stunning willow tree.and iron strap hinged entry doors.
Dude that was some badass music during the drone footage.
What a stunner! Loved everything about this beautiful place, the lady living there would never be able to upkeep a place that size, she must have been sad to leave.
Glad you are ok, & didn't get hurt.
Looking forward to the next video. Take care out there.😆😆
Thank You. The grounds were beautiful. The adventure was great. Be careful and see you on the next outing.
Awesome house, worth watching.
Hope you're ok, sorry to hear about your fall. Thanks again for the video.
Its a great idea you had about returning pictures to the family, not sure if that is possible but its a great thought. Once again, fantastic video! btw Dave, gorgeous pup!
that's such a sad thing when you have been married so long and you cant live without that person anymore in the place that held so many memories. Very beautiful place
Love this place! I think there was a great love story to go with it💕
Bless the people who tried to help and put tarps up on the roof of this magnificent home.
This was awesome, thank you so much! Beautiful mansion and so many kids items in there makes me sad! I’m so glad you had your mask! Not gonna lie I had a bad feeling all the way through this vid that you may fall through as the decay in the mansion was mad! Stay safe your my fav you tuber x
Finna watch all of your videos this weekend.
😢😭😢😭😭😢
Stunning beauty, left to crumble. so Heart breaking.
How cute is that dog enjoying the sun shine
Would be so cool if you could track down some family members and see what they have to say. Imagine being so privileged as to walk into this place with a roaring fire and family dogs and cats to greet you. I will stay tuned!
I used to live there .and it stinks of pish.
What a corker of a place fantastic guys I love the amazing stonework sorry you fell at the end love watching your shows keep up the good work
Someone needs to build up this beauty. She is still a diamond in the rough.
3:22 The dog jumps to another dimension instantly!
Hahaha!
That house needs money to restore it. Hate modern marxist architecture.
There's no such thing as "marxist architecture", you idiot.
I was just watching this for a straight 30 minutes and then realised its about 20 minutes away from where I live! A local ghost hunting group were there recently and I think a politician lived there 🤔 great video! X
