This imposing chateau somewhere in Belgium has sat dormant for almost half a decade.
Silence rings through its impressive, lofty hallways, still full of the fine furnishings that once accompanied the wealthy family that called this home. Memories peer way back into the past, showing us that this was a beloved home for so many years…

I personally love the way you capture the history of the place including pictures and documents and opening cabinets. I love your comments through out, and you make me feel like im right there. Thank you!
What a fabulous building! So much cool stuff inside! I think if I inherited a place like this I would turn it into some kind of retreat or something similar if I couldn’t afford to live in it myself. It’s such a shame to let it go to waste! It’s an amazing place! Brilliant explore, thank you Sam and Jess! Xxx
It’s a beauty! 😍 Yes thats such a lovely idea!!! Someone mentioned in the chat about turning it into a cat palace 😁 Shame so many are unused, so much wasted space for amazing things! Although renovating abandoned places seems to be gaining popularity so hopefully some of them have some hope 🤞🏼 Thank you for watching! 🥰❤
Stunning! Looks like it was once a bustling joyous home. It’s painful that these photographs are left behind. The family’s history. ❤your explores Sam and Jess.
I love seeing the pictures of the people. Thanks for taking the time to show that. What an amazing place! So much left behind!
Picturing Sam in those boots had me rollin!! Lmao 😀 😀 😀
🤣🤣🤣😭 Shame they didn’t fit or we would have some great footage 😆
What a fantastic place. I so envy your freedom to just go and explore. Envy is the wrong word! But I think you know what I mean. I am so glad you can go everywhere. You bring us so much from your travels both of you. Much love 🤗💜💙🥰🥰
Glad you enjoyed it Nanny 🥰🥰 We are very grateful for it and we have you guys to thank, you all make it possible and worth it! Your support is always very appreciated. Hope to keep bringing new places as long as we can 🥰 Sending both our love!!! Have a lovely week ❤
What a magnificent fourier. I'm so jealous of all that beauty that the two of you get to see! But I'm super glad that you share it with the world! Cheers mates! ✌🏼
Only a few minutes in, and I'm already in love with this house! And so sad that it's been abandoned. It could surely be glorious once again. Thanks for another fantastic tour!
I went there today and it was ransacked.. no more luster, there were thefts, everything is broken.. very sad. He looked so clean 3 months ago..
these videos are almost like an advert to thieves , and sooner or later they will be ransacked and vandalised, as these properties and valuables and not secured. And yes it is quite sad. The greed of man.
Fantastic explore!!! It must have been a magnificent place back in the day! Yes, please visit more in Belgium! Take care, be well. 👍😊❤️
Enjoyed the heck out of this one! I love old photos, too! Happy Exploring!
These places in Europe are always so interesting. Untouched by tags and human breakage they retain their personalities. Good one guys!❤
You both are so precious & beautiful Jesse & Sam. I want to thank you both Sam and Jesse for your extravagant explorers. I’m in love with both of you and it’s so refreshing to see your videos. Your videos are so amazing they make me want to jump inside of the TV screen and just kind of hang out with you guys I love all of your videos. Your videos tell the stories of the history of not only the buildings the magnificent shadows and the families they leave me guessing all the time. Thank you so much for sharing your videos I love watching them so much it brings me peace and comfort and I would rather watch your videos than any movie or TV show. It’s like I’m just diving into the past with you guys and I’ve learned so much from both of you your videos have revealed so much about the European families and how they lived. I wonder so much about these people that lived in these castles and château’s. I think you guys live a fascinating and intriguing life. Watching your videos is more entertaining than basically anything on TV I have to say that. You Sam and Jesse have changed my life and I’m just totally in love with your videos. I want to thank you guys so much for caring about history and documenting the things that you know are gonna be lost eventually in the future. It’s so sad because it’s almost like I wanna go into a time machine and just be there and experience all that.
That gorgeous home looks like it’s waiting for a family to come and stay. Beautiful explore, thank you for sharing your journey
♥️🇨🇦
Astonishing! So much beauty and decay! Really loved this explore, thanks, guys!
I loved the house/ hotel! Beautiful area, as well! It’s so sad that these lovely places have no life or love in them! Just rotting away. You guys, please be careful! See you next video!
5:01 the lady picked up a toy called an lol doll which was made in 2016 so it's a kinda new house. Let me tell ya they were my whole child hood from 6-10 and I had like over 1 hundred of them. Brings but the good old memories 😔😭
That doll you held up was an omg doll. First sold in 2019 in US. So that place has not been vacant long.
Wow! The last date we found was 2018 so could easily be 2019 that it was left. Crazy what happens to place in so little time… 😢
What an amazing place, so cool to see pictures of the people who lived there! Thanks for bringing us with you! Love your channel. Godspeed
Fantastic as always!! You always do find the best places!
What a outstanding home, loved it, won't want to paint them walls thank you both for sharing this ❤😘🇬🇧
What an amazing place! love your videos, Thank you for sharing Sam & Jess 🥰
What a beautiful home! I remember Colin (bearded explorer) got the crap scared out of him when he went up that blocked off staircase because a door slammed hard behind him. I would totally love to see more of Belgium!
Jess, he went up that staircase that you went up alone with the strange windows and ladder, whatever it was slamming that door shut behind him was freaky! Glad you didn't experience it.
Yes more stuff from Belgium! That was do beautiful. I can't believe it's empty. Thank you
Sensitively explored…love the old pics. Your choice of music at the end was 👌 💜💜
Glad you enjoyed it Katina, some of the coolest photos we’ve seen yet! 😍 Thank you for watching ❤
I surmise that the old lady died, the husband having previously passed; and that the children didn’t want to pay the inheritance taxes, plus the massive cost of restoring and the upkeep of the building. And so they abandoned it.
Beautiful house, chateaux or little castle. The family was very lovely. All those nice photos. A fun explore through the lives of a happy family. So much left behind. Thank you! 💙🌙🌸🐌
I thought the photo of the lady was a zimmer then when you found more photos, she was a young lady stood next to the same table. 2 pics, different age. Loved it. Thanks guys
Thanks for taking us with you!
Incredible explore Sam and Jess would of been a magnificent place back then. Looking forward to seeing more of your amazing exploring 🫶🏼❤️

Always makes me wonder looking at old places, what exactly the small, hidden away rooms were used for. The hooves for hooks is not cool

Collodion is a flammable, syrupy solution of nitrocellulose in ether and alcohol. There are two basic types: flexible and non-flexible. The flexible type is often used as a surgical dressing or to hold dressings in place. When painted on the skin, collodion dries to form a flexible nitrocellulose film.
Absolutely Beautiful ❤❤

The photos were great!
Beautiful house!
You should also spend some time investigating the family members as leaving everything behind and just disappearing means either some unfortunate things happened with the family like accidents or they committed suicide together or there were some unknown reasons to leave the place and move on.
I look forward to viewing more from Belgium.
It was one of our most successful trips yet! 7 more videos to come 🥳 Next weeks was one of the best houses yet! Thank you for watching Carol ❤

G'day.. dam l slept through the 5.00am alarm.. l just watched. It would have been a stunner.. Weird how the staircase was walled up.. A total different feel in that side.. freeky. I bet it was a tad scary going down those stairs from the lookout/tower.. That was an amazing explore for sure..Had skeletons to kinky boots even.. Thanks for showing us.. 🦘❤️🦘
Beautiful place
They must have had one heck of a Halloween party makes you think of rocky horror picture show
I think at one point this building was divided for three separate family units; perhaps for grown children and their families. I think the father and mother ran a construction company and then the children came in to also help run it. Don't think it was a hotel. The top floor was originally a space for servants back in the 1800's, turned into a second office space probably by the son who had his part of the company. The rooms down stairs with the hardware and bolts of cloth indicate to me that they were also into decorating the homes, housing, etc., which they built; also could have been re-construction of homes which would also require redecorating. My favorite part was your going up into the tower and the "lookouts" on the rooves.
I like your channel is the best in the world 🌎🌎🌎
I would love to own that place
