Thank you, you two, you are are still the best on the net, Danny your camera work is deliberate, slow, and excellent, the viewer can easily follow and enjoy all of it. No rushing around here. Lesley your verbal documentary is outstanding, thank you for all you do.
I am fascinated by the bedrooms all with rooms connecting to the balcony. It's so romantic, well, for unmarried guests lol, meeting in the moonlight. Lesley please do not take so many risks. Listen to Danny. Have you thought about using a walking cane to test the floors before you move forward? That balcony looked so rickety. Great video, great house, great story.
😢 It's sad to see what happens when you pass away. It seems like the history of your life and ancestors disappears. This is a very old home that, in my opinion, dates back to the 1700's. The kitchen tells us how old it was because they were cooking with a fireplace and some of the kitchen pans were very old. It will all be gone soon! Thank you for sharing this with us! 😊
You guys are still the best on the net. Lesley has the perfect voice and respect for the previous inhabitants, and Danny is superb with the camera shots. He truly takes us along, and I feel as if I'm right there with Lesley. I hope you guys find many more abandoned places so that you can entertain for many moons to come. I'm much older at 58, however, I know that if I were younger and had the ready availability that we have today with cameras and the net, I most definitely would be out searching these places! Hell, if I make it to retirement in 2-3 years and have the health I have now, maybe I will do some searching and traveling just for my own entertainment. You guys are the best, and I hope you continue to provide us with quality entertainment. I always want to see the books and what types they are, and I would literally get lost in a place like this for hours!! Thanks again. Peace, young fellas, stay safe!!
Thanks Guys!!!! Sooooo MUCH HISTORY!!!! It's really SAD when one of the Spouses passes, especially the woman. The home seems to go in DISREPAIR!!!! You all ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS SHOW SO MUCH RESPECT!!!! KUDOS for that and ALL that you all do!!!!
The computer on the dining table is a minitel. It was in widespread use in France during the 80's when I was there. It was an amazing precursor to the internet.
Yeah, a Minitel model 1, in this house a model from Matra communications. Tried to write a lot about this in the comments here, but seems, RUclips doesn't like it. I knew about Minitel, but was just now amazed, after reading more about it, which services it provided, and this over a phone line, long before the internet even started for the publicity. Also surprising, that it is easy to find some old Minitel computers on Ebay, they must have been widespread.
Hi, and thanks for another wonderful adventure. That mechanical device on the right side of the fireplace, in the room where you first entered is a "clock-work) rotisserie (draaispit). There used to be a rope with a weight at the end, around the barrel, You would wind it up and let it turn your roasting meat.
AAhh! The eccentrics of France you have to love it. Your experience took us to a bedroom that was just awesome a place to view the stars. Then next to it the place had caved in seriously I didn't expect to see that especially after looking at the bedroom it was my wow moment. I must say the balcony really was sketchy as Danny said scary stuff. If that place could talk, we would hear an amazing history. Thank you, Lesley, and Danny for another great exploration you put the life back in this place. Get well Danny and stay well Lesley.
Thank you, guys. I always enjoy watching these videos. The homes are always amazing and so interesting, full of history.. It's also incredible that so much of the furnishings are still there. People have not stolen them or destroyed much of the properties.
Such a shame that death taxes cost half of the worth of the estate. So many people without their homes and family treasures left to disintegrate. So many homes rotting that could be filled with families. Love the homes you explore
What a wonderful home! Thank you Lesley and Danny, very interesting and beautiful video. It was educational to see the furnishings of the house, beautiful fireplaces, interior items - all in the spirit of France - charming! Great video, wonderful work - thank you! ❤️🤗❤️
What I particularly like about you is that you look at everything with so much love, every part is special to you, you can appreciate everything so wonderfully and that's why it gives me so much joy to watch you, I would love to go along and be with you If you discover these houses, that would be a wonderful adventure for me, and I envy you that you can do that. I'm already looking forward to being able to continue watching your wonderful videos as soon as I get home from work❤
Can I just say how much you both compliment each other. Leslie you have the voice of an angel but then again so does Danny! Danny’s videos are so good! Such an artist with the camera! Love ya both! USA 🇺🇸 ❤
Enjoyed this loner's house. The hose was for sure filled with things he was interested in. It won't be around much longer. Stay safe and look forward to next week. ❤😂
I learned on the show "Hoarders" that a person's house is only as filled as the pain and sadness of one's soul. 😢 Thanks to both of you for sharing this sad man's memories with us. ❤ Stay blessed ✨
Everything fits in perfectly. You guys, the music the way you leave things as they are in tact.. You both deserve the videos of the year!! Exce @Bros of Decay!
Great video Lesley & Danny, thank you. Mr. Lefevre certainly made a lot of mess but many of the rooms and his equipment were neatly put away and labeled. So, I'm thinking that a lot of the "mess" was made after he passed away. It could have been family trying to sort through his belongings and taking what they wanted. It looks like they gave up and left everything in piles. It doesn't look like they went through all the rooms though.
Bonjour Lesley and Danny, what a beautiful home this manor was at one time. I wish the kids would have cleaned it out and sold it. Now its left to mother nature to have her way with it. What a shame. Nice explore guys. Feel better Danny. Love from N.Y.
This once gorgeous, pristine, immaculate, loved property was absolutely breathtaking!!! I sooo enjoyed the tour through it’s beautiful rooms & imagining the peace, tranquility & luxury that this once iconic place held!!! I imagined, as we toured, it all cleaned out, fresh paint on the walls & new Timbers replacing the old, rotten wood! Each feature of this phenomenal property was unique & one of a kind!!! The last owner had an engineer based brain, meaning, he was very smart but had an almost hoarder type mentality! It would cost an astronomical amount of money to restore this property!!! But sadly, the children of the last occupant , could go in there, rescue the fabulous antique wooden furniture that was throughout the home!!! Sooo very many of the items could be sold, donated or gifted to museums or libraries!!! It breaks my heart 💔 to see all of these wonderful treasures & memories go to waste & be absorbed by the elements 😞😢😰 Thank you Leslie & Danny for sharing this wonderful adventure with us!!! I truly loved it 👍🙏♥️
Hey Lesley, as always an awesome explore adventure, you were doing together with Danny! The library/ living room with the beautiful and intact antique furniture was my favourite room. The contrast between the quite modern computer items and the antiques was really remarkable to see! Of course it was on the other hand also rather sad to see some very messed up rooms, as the former owner seems to have been collecting a lot of stuff as hoarders usually do. Sad background story about the former owners life after his wife had passed away. - Great camerawork by Danny, and as usual I enjoyed listening to your conversations. Looking forward to your next explore adventure. Stay safe, peace and kindest greetings.
10:06 it appears to be an electric oven, it does not have a microwave function. 18:28: this is a traditional game widespread in France (it is a derivative of an Indian game) which is called the game of “petits chevaux”, little horses
It seems he moved out but used the place to work out of and for storage yet kept his room to rest and the library for his get a way. Still sad to see so much go to waste.
Thank you for the tour of this Manor, it was wonderful to see. Loved the hidden rooms. I'm sorry, but I can't help but wonder why did this man live as a hermit for so many years? Why didn't his children care for him? Why didn't the children want any of the priceless items that have been left there?
Another beautiful existence. Thank you gentlemen for showing us. The horse game I think could have been parcheesi and the other was backgammon. Such a shame the old area was collapsing.
You guys really live your lives on the edge for us inside of some of these places.. 😮Thank God it's far and in between. This manor was at once upon time so beautiful 😍 I could imagine rainy days standing on that balcony must've been like.❤ And the man may have been sad, but he was also intelligent and multitalented judging by the things he liked to do. Musical, artist, science books, telescope, all of the electronics that he was reparing for people, model cars, and collector of lots and lots of things 😃 Love you guys. Please be and stay safe. 🙏💕
It's a shame that these old opulent homes are let to ruin and not rehabbed into the beautiful ladies they once were. I absolutely love that you respect them for the beauties that they are.
Love the video. It's always amazing how well preserved abandoned buildings are in Europe and other countries around the world compared to abandoned buildings in the US
The old motor bike on the balcony seems to be a Solex from the late 70s, it reminded me of the one I had as a student. The postcard is from my home town Nancy in Lorraine (east of France) and shows the statue is of Stanislas , King of Poland and Duke of Lorraine, on Place Stanislas (Stanislas Square), one of the if not THE most beautiful square in Europe with the incredible buildings around. Such a pity that this great house is falling apart...

I love the word you coined: SMOOTHING- smooth plus soothing! The best description of Lesley’s voice.
Me gustan mucho vuestros vídeos y sobre todo como narras la historia de las personas que allí vivieron. Gracias por compartirlos

What a beautiful home! Such a sad story behind it too! Awesome video & explore! 👍👍❤️🤘

That’s criminal, a family loses a loved one and then the greedy government robs them.
Hello Lesley and Danny and thanks for this great video!
I like your music choices. It is lovely, sad, melancholy, mournful for a life and time gone....😢
It is so amazing how you show us houses and we can imagine the people who lived there and where they might have relaxed or done in the past.
very good choice of music truly great. thank you love
