It'd up to the degree of courage and strength in vulnerability you're able to demonstrate w/ folks. If you do what you know in your heart is your best at that, you'll steadily shirk the barrage of transactional superficiality & either become drawn toward (or attractive to) a tight set of authentic spiritual siblings

It's not like you wake up one day and say it to yourself " today I'm gonna love everything " and if someone comes and slaps you, you're obviously not gonna love it... Not until you realize that your body is not you, it's just a machine and it is gonna stop working one day i mean we all die. You're a watcher. I think if you realize this, life will be much easier.

*It's a very dangerous path to step on when you have very little sense of who you are. Fame will consume you and you will draw an obscure picture of yourself, according to the feedback you get from the fame. A picture that isn't necessarily congruent with your own deeper belief systems. But you don't know what they are, because you haven't stopped and took a moment to ponder.*
*In this social media age, it is even more important, to disconnect and give the attention to your surroundings, to your loved ones. The people who know the real you. They will strengthen that good perception of you and your self-esteem will improve. Take care of yourself to be more authentic.*

Yeah I feel like Justin Bieber has turned to God and got tastes of the spirit, but is now depressed and stuff cuz his lifestyle is NOT conducive to feeling your highest truth as a human. It's probably a hard truth/harsh lesson that you have to completely turn your back on materialism and everything your career is bases around.

IKR I found so so many amazing messages in this podcast. The one where he says " I am who I think you think I am " hit me hardest and I'm actually gonna act on that. Other great ones were probably one where he says "it's best to just love everything you do in a day rather than deciding between good or bad" and then there was the one about gratitude."How quickly you can go from feeling sad to feeling thankful that you had it in the first place" and I'd like everyone to summarise more but this was major takeaway. Also another where he said "You live particular high moments in life and try to recreate those because you don't believe there are moments greater than that and that can give you much better highs and so you must move past the experience and work ahead believing there's more to it."
I'm trying to summarise the best messages can you people add on to what you thought changed in you listening to this and what part made that change specifically ? It's gonna be great

Beautifully honest conversation. Grateful to be able to hear the two talk about their struggles and "triumphs" on the spiritual journey. Would love to hear Mike have a podcast where he talks to different spiritual seekers, I believe he would be a great host. My keys takeaways:
    - "In order to not feel judged, judge less"
    - Something as simple as saying my girlfriend at the time instead of ex. It feels more genuine and caring.
    - Treasuring the 29 years he had with his dad instead of focusing on the loss of not having him around. A beautiful point on not taking what we have for granted and being prepared to let go of the physical.
    - "The one thing you can count on grief to do, is suprise you".
    Much love!

Thank you for this podcast Jay! I used to listen to him at 16 when I got my first job and it was because of "Please Don't Go" that I was such a reflective and open teenager. That and Cooler Than Me all made me only think and reflect on myself while allowing me to escape to music. Love you BOTH!!!!

I'm so glad that I came across this podcast this Sunday morning. I cannot truly express myself as to how I could relate to what Mike spoke on. It was like two spiritual gems talking about all the things that I wanted to hear. Thank you so much for this video podcast to both Jay Shetty and Mike Posner. I've always been a Mike's fan, because of his music, now I feel I've become more of a fan of him as a person. ❤️🙏👍

I felt this convo on so many levels!!! Every inquiry Mike has is showing up real time for me...like being exhausted with showing up as a perfectionist (unintentionally). Those ebbs and flows he mentions...so so so real.

When you are so engrossed with the role you are trying to play that you forget who you are and you are just playing that role the whole time
You start playing it so well that you forget yourself, you start thinking is reality

I’m a delivery driver for a supermarket. The clocks went forward yesterday. I deliver in the evenings and night sometimes, and today was the first shift with the lighter night. Today was also the first shift in a while where I had an hour gap between drops. I just watched the remainder of that in a lay-by, as it got darker. And it was truly uplifting, awakening, calming, enthused. Etc. I had been in a good, calm, space before hand, so obviously resonated my being more so. Thanks Mike and thanks Jay. I’m just coming back round a spiral. Out of this deep overthinking heavyness, and starting to feel light again, confident, at ease, shining bright. But as Mike says it was and flows, daily. On the micro, and on the macro. Jay I love how you hold space, and listen well, I guess that’s all part of being a good interviewer, but you have the heartfelt presence too
