- Chopping corn silage using Allis Chalmers Tractors and New Holland Forage Harvesters.
This video comes from a family farm near Fort Recovery Ohio as they harvest their 2022 corn silage crop for feed for their beef cattle herd. Lots of different Allis Chalmers tractors pulling New Holland Forage Harvesters and H&S forage boxes in this video. Авто/Мото
Watching the older machinery still doing the job is always good to see. They seem to be pretty efficient. Great video Mike!
That ac 220 on the blower is absolutely beautiful
That D21 the meanest lookin tractor ever built
That 4W 220 looks beautiful ! 👍
Wow. What a beautiful collection of tractors. I grew up on 100 and 8000 series AC tractors, they are my favorite! I could listen to those 426s on the blowers all day!
My oldest sister my brother in law my 2 daughters and I just moved to Iowa in orient I love it wr are surrounded by farms, my oldest sister and I grew up on our grandparents farm as kids
Mike I am a deere guy but love seeing those Chalmers working. Thanks
It's 3° out the wind is blowing about 15 to 20 mph and I'm sitting in the warm house drinking coffee watching a Mike less corn silage video with older equipment getting the job done👍 hope you and your family have a merry Christmas
Just like the good old days. N0 DPF or DEF, just good ol American muscle.
I love vintage agricultural machinery! This video makes you go back to childhood. Thanks Mike!
.. Golden Age of Farming equipment... brings back memories from my youth....!!!!!
Might just take the award as my favorite tractor video of 2022
Being an allis chalmers fanatic, that was an awesome video ‼️
Wow that is a very well kept line up of Allis tractors. When I was a little kid we ran an Allis 7580 on a gehl 1250 chopper and wagons. It is cool to see big old articulated tractors on choppers. Merry Christmas!!
Nice video as always Mike, good to see someone still using the older equipment, and keeping it in good shape looks like a clean operation as well. Dave D.
Awesome!! I am an AC fan and have been for decades. There's some beautiful old machines right there. While I love watching modern SP forage harvesters work, there's something special about a pulled FH, so this was excellent.
The 220 running the blower was a fine looking tractor, great video Mike...Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas to You!
What a fun video. Takes me back.
They should upgrade that tiny little NH blower to an IH 56 or one of the repainted brand ones(Badger, I think Case IH) they could unload faster and run it with 1/3 the power that NH uses. Save on some fuel.
Too bad the tractors are repower, but at least they are still running and working! Beats sending them to the yard. It's funny in a way, used to see these ads in magazines where a farm would be all one color, none of that existed where I grew up. This one could have made it!
It's easy to see the huge advantage that modern equipment has, but this is just beautiful, and, I imagine, paid for.
These guys do a good bit of grain farming too and use modern equipment for that.
Love seeing allis's still getting work done. I have a 7020 I still use to cut hay.
Sights and sounds are awesome, just need the smells😀
My favorite tractors doing my favorite thing, This is my all time favorite video!! Thanks so much Mike
nice to see these classics at work, thanks for sharing!!!!
Very Clean very nice Operation!!! Brings back 1980’s memories! Neighbors Had 8060 I think first 4WD and Cab in the Hood!!! That’s all we wanted was A CAB Tractor!!😢😢😢😢😢 at 10 years old..
Nice video! Love the vintage equipment, very clean and well kept!!
Very good stewards of the Allis Machinery wonderful to see them in such nice condition !No Def issues no codes .I,m an IH Collector but appreciate their effort in restoring and preserving Allis Chalmers great to any older stuff working .Big Thank You to you and them !Great Video .
I as well! I've owned about every color and still lean towards the boxcars and older IH tractors but I appreciate anything that has been worked and taken care of.
Awesome video! I bleed green but Allis Chalmers and IH are my 2nd and 3rd favorites! The 1880 chopper was also made with a Detroit motor, there was one on Tractorhouse probably a year ago.
I think they make drugs yo correct that
That is a great operation - looks like they maintain their AC equipment very well!
Awesome video!
I grew up running a 180AC, then we purchased a 200. Both were great machines, basic reliable and ready to get the job done.
Chopping corn silage was one of my favorite jobs. Hearing 12' corn stalks going there the 718 New Holland harvester is a great sound.
Thank you for the trip down memory lane.
Merry Christmas to you and yours. 😀
Those 718 choppers were loud
I have always loved the look of the 8070. Very well taken care of equipment 👍
they seem to be in good shape yeah
Awesome video mike! I’ll watch that big 4wd any day over a boring self propelled
Thanks for the great video really like those AC s..😂
I loved the allis cab when they came out with the 80 series tractor so roomy great view so much better than what other tractors had at the time thanks for sharing
I agree, I sat in an 8070 years ago and thought what a nice cab with lots of room.
This is the neatest thing if seen in a while.
Cool, clean, smooth running machines!
Class act Farming operation. 👍🇺🇸
Great Video, Love seeing the older equipment, I grew up on a dairy farm and chopping silage was one of my favorite jobs.
That hitching up system is neat. I would like to see how that works. Loving the orange
Awesome video Mike! Loved seeing all the Allis tractors in very nice shape!
Great video Mike Thanks for all the great content this year! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you.
This reminds me of watching old locomotives on small railroads still hauling trains and earning their keep. Some of these old locomotives are now 70 years old and as long as their parts supply holds out they will continue to work.
Always enjoyed silo filling time!! Safety was always first with anything on the farm thanks for the video
$75K was BIG money back in the early 80's, no wonder my uncle never had big tractors like that! Came from an area that didn't do much silage, interesting to see the operation. Thanks.
Some very nice looking orange tractors!
Merry Christmas and may God bless you and yours a happy new year Mike!! Love seeing the old Allis's running along with those NH230's . Didn't seem like they were even pulling anything with those Cummins engines under their hoods. Sure would like to see more of the older equipment and even the older Deutz tractors working. Especially now that you work for Deutz.
I don't know, but I think these guys kinda like their Allis tractors! Dang they look good!
We have a New Holland 1880 with the 391 gas engine. Used a 220 and 210 Allis as blower tractors. Great video.
Great representation of older Orange Iron. Impressive condition!! The D 21, Two-Twenty and Two Ten are beauties! Thanks for posting and have a Happy New Year!
Great video. If my dad was still with us, he’d have enjoyed it. Dad used to own a 190 AC. I remember riding in it with him when I was little.
Great lookin' fleet of the best farm tractors ever made!
They sure do keep the orange shinny !! Hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas and a healthy prosperous 2023 !!
This is a Awesome Video. Didnt know these tractors were even around the area. Hope to see more of this Farm in the Future. Merry Christmas.............
Great video! We were all AC except one tractor I bought after AC went out of business. They all served us well.
Beautifully maintained Allis equipment . Great video!
Merry Xmas, Mike & Co. Makes a difference seeing some different shade of red ! and they're not hanging around. Jings I can even smell the noise and hear the whines ... must be that polar bomb this now! - Hope you're all tucked up safe. regards.

Very enjoyable. Thank you
Great video of a make of tractor you only see in the UK now at vintage vehicle rallies, and not that many either. - I get the impression that this farm whilst having a beautiful collection of, (dare I say preserved tractors), and machinery get it to 'work' for its keep. - Merry Christmas to You, Your Family, and everyone who watches your channel from one of your subscribers in the UK.🌲🍷🚜👋..........
Nice line up of older tractors, still doing the job very effectively too. Hope you and family have a great Christmas and holiday time together. Regards from Down Under.
About the only thing I missed from milking cows was corn silage chopping. We had a lot of the same equipment in this video. I definitely hit the like button.
love the Allis tractors.,..nice video Mike
Loved seeing some classic orange tractors!
WOW, I've never seen the inside of the silo and the discharge tube like that. You are a braved guy my friend to stand up there like that and hold on one handed with the camera. Great video. 968 I plowed for a neighbor that had a 190Xt.
Thank you!!
Great video Mike, I love it👍👍
I love seeing the older equipment I we had equipment to chop our own silage
Great video Mike nice to see some very nice Allis tractors Merry Christmas n a Blessed New Year
Another great video Mike and buy the way what a very clean and tidy farm merry Christmas Mike
You know a videographer takes his job seriously when he climbs a silo to shoot video! Cool video, well done.
What beautiful tractors!!! Wow!!
Thanks a lot for the video
ands merry christmas to y'all! 😊👍🏻
Nice fleet of Allis Chamers tractors 👍
Chalmers
Mike,
This video is soooooo cool. Great equipment. Thank you for all the effort and thank you for the generous amount of video footage.
I don’t know, but it seems to me that if a farm has the manpower, the pull type forage choppers avoid a huge expense that modern forage harvesters require. Using normal 6 cylinder tractor engines to get the job done is more appealing to me than the huge 600 to 1100 horsepower V12 engines used in todays forage harvesters. Annual maintenance cost should be much less on the pull type.
Well oiled operation, everyone knows what to do!!!
Heck yeah one of your best videos ever thank you very much Woo-hoo
AC tractors are always great to see😁👍 that is a very nice operation👍😉 merry christmas to you and your family👍🌲
That 220 is thinking " when are they going to give me a challenge!"
Allis Chalmers 👍👍👍
Very awesome video love the AC tractors merry Christmas to you and everyone 🎅🎅
The silo is one of the most dangerous things on a farm, not to mention the ladder, PTO, just everything about them. I almost think a Butler type metal building and a front end loader is a better idea.
:don't be stupid.
@@repairmanjoe8081 Accidents happen. My grandfathers brother died in a silo accident and our neighbor was killed when the ladder on the silo broke and he landed on the electric power lines.
We are well aware of the dangers on the farm. We are sorry for the loss of lives in our industry. Life is full of dangers you have to respect the work people do to make a living and grow food for the world.
Great video, great lineup of equipment too!
I see Allis and hit like! lovely to see these big Allis's working. My small collection is from the other end of the power range - a B, WC and D272 but would love to get hold of a 200 from the US someday!
I like Mike less videos on RUclips from the imperial county California and merry Christmas 🌲☃️🌲
Happy holidays mike. I worked for Phil’s sales and service back in the day. Spent a lot of hours working on allis tractors
Okay cool. I remember Phils Sales and Service. I guess they are still there but just sell Kubota. I always used to look at their display at the Canfield Fair when I was a kid. Since my grandpa sis most of his business at Withers I never got to go to there to look at the tractors. However my dad has bought 3 different Kubota UTV's from Phils over the last 10 years.
Love seeing the AC's. Bring on more Masseys😊
A whole lot of awesome orange in this video!
Love seeing those nice looking AC tractors working yet. Ran those tractor on loacl dairy famer.
That was a fun video watching all the orange getting it done.
Great video. We had two AC tractors. Both were 180’s.
I'm a John Deere guy, but those are some beautiful AC's. Lots of hard work and care to keep them in that condition.
Great video and merry Christmas to you and your family
Merry Christmas Mike. Thanks for sharing again. Looking forward to the next video. Great video shots on this one. Happy subscriber 😊! BTW I am like #900. Let's hope that number goes well up into the 7k region 😀.
Great awesome video mike . Happy holidays and merry Christmas to your family from mine to yours . Hope to get out skidooing very soon , just started grooming trails here
Its cold here and some snow but not enough to ride snowmobiles yet.
Great video Mike!
Growing up I lived for silo filling season, 3 farms 7 silo's in our group, each was 300 ton or more, a big parade of horse power. Filled them all in 10 days or less pending weather
Always a sucker for AC, as I grew up outside of Springfield IL where there was a big AC plant (mainly earth moving equipment)
Nice shots on top of the silo
Awesome video, love the Allis content
Wow, that’s a massive tractor fleet they have!
They have more than just allis chalmers I think they have new holland and some case as well
Nice whistle coming off those Cummins repowers!
When I first started working on my uncle's farm as a teenager the Allis chalmer c tractor with a belly mower for the first tractor I ever drove then I moved up to the wd-45 then the Allis chalmer 190 and the last one I drove was the 7060
