    The very reason I got into MBTI was because I was trying to understand how my INTP husband's brain operates.
    If studying you is not love then I don't know what it is.

    How many relationships have been lost because of people not understanding the way each other express love!

    I'm an INTJ and my partner is an ESTJ, I've seen the pattern on how we operate we didn't follow the typical dating rules. It may seem unromantic but we were there for each other for our presence and acts of service (what works for him/her) for what we call our love language.

    I can so relate to this. My husband is an ISTJ and I have learned that he always is the most happy with me when he asks me to do something, get something, or if something goes haywire while he is relaxing and I tell him, "I got this," and take care of it quickly and efficiently. As an ENFP I wish he was more touchy feely, but he is the most loyal, hard working, and genuine man I know. This helps me to put feelings and emotions into words and thoughts so I can better understand him.

    I preferred the videos without the slide show. I know I can just not look but then I do and my mind breaks off into different thoughts and I’m no longer 100% focused on what you’re saying. -INTJ

      Interesting because it doesn't do the same for me and I wonder if it has to do with INTJ having Se child... perhaps preferring only one "sense" at a time...

    You perfectly described my INTJ partner. I did struggle a lot to feel loved by him and he does not appear romantic to my standards. But he says things like: "To me, coming home and finding you waiting for me and giving me a kiss is romantic": I am like, "No, that's routine" :D But we are trying to find common grounds to meet in between. I am impressed by this video, really. Waiting for the INFJ one.

      That's so sweet that he looks forward to coming home to kiss you. Lucky lady to have an intj husband. They are the cutest.

    This is really great and so spot on! As an INFJ married to an ENTJ, and who ALSO has an ENTJ boss, I can really attest to everything you're saying here- both in a romantic relationship with an effectiveness person, and even in a professional platonic work relationship. The squishy center is real! Side note- please tell me your stock footage search query for this video was "workaholics in love". It was perfect.

      Hey, an ENTJ in a relationship with an INFJ, what're some advice you could give on the topic?

  • @BasedGodEmperorTrump
    @BasedGodEmperorTrump Год назад +2

    In my opinion, thinking types know/understand love through the cognitive lens similar to cognitive empathy. It's not expressed like affective or compassionate empathy. Expressions can be learned over time. I've noticed TJ types show acts of service or gift giving to express love. I could be wrong, though.

    This makes me “feel” so sad. 😂 INFJ here who was married to an INTJ for 21 years. He loved to spread sheet me. I see now I was a resource and he needed to trusted me. I loved that man and I guess he loved me too.
    I have sense remarried to an ESFP. Ask me which one is easier. 🤣 Sigh...

    This is a very well defined concept of love. However, i refuse to approach love through emotion rather than logic even though i am ENFJ. I noticed that my emotions trip me up continually. Therefore i conclude that love is not a feeling at all. It is primarily vetted through understanding. When a person is able to understand and be understood in solidarity with you, that is love. Understanding comes through the logos or logical conclusions. Love is NEVER a feeling. Emotions are like the ocean tides. Never reliable

    @11:00 minutes or so...that sounds to me like "Hey everyone, look at my trophy wife (cough/husband, partner, etc)." That sounds to me like territorial bragging, not genuine appreciation of who the (perhaps) aggrandized partner is as a person. I don't know how much a typical effectiveness type would do this, but it does not seem like a direct way of expressing to the actual partner how much they appreciate them. Why is the opinion of a person who is technically not a part of the dyadic relationship important to this type of person? Does the effectiveness type actually care that much for the good opinion of others? And not only the opinion of others, but the opinion of another person not even remotely a part of the relevant relationship? To put it more succintly, is the bragging effectiveness type seeking approval from others by describing what an awesome partner they have managed to bag? It would appear so. And that does not seem logical. Nor does it seem cool.

      No, that's not _quite_ it.
      It's like my first car, one of the 80s Oldsmobiles with the Diesel engine: so cool, precisely because it was reliable and unique. [38 MPG, highway.] When it came up, talking about cars, it was a point of pleasure to be able to say "look at how cool the one I have is!" (and the reliability and effectiveness of the vehicle really appealed to my personality).
