    Another idea for you to do would be a small tackle box for hooks. Like a box to fit 1/0-5/0 ewg or straight shank hooks for Texas rig and drop shot.

    This is art. Well done. Thabks for sharing file too.
    What kind of material i could use to print the mold?

    • @HandCraftedAngling
      @HandCraftedAngling  Год назад +1

      Glad you like it! If you want to print it out on an fdm printer I would recommend using the highest temp fillimate you can. I have had good luck with polycarbonate blends. They print much nicer than pure and can still take the heat. I would imagine nylon would work the same. You can get away with petg and Abs but they tend to have a lifespan. They can warp if you shoot to hot and they also have issues with some of the larger molds. If you wanted to use a resin printer siryatech sculpt works very well.

    Jiffyjig type body mold (with space for 1/16 oz round jighead hook)

      I love it. Im hoping my soft plastics should be much better soon. Im working on finding a tpe plastic to make baits out of and I have a pretty good lead. I also picked up a cnc and am learning on how to make aluminum molds with it.

    What are the metal bolts in the mold that you use to hold it together?

    • @HandCraftedAngling
      @HandCraftedAngling  5 дней назад

      Just 1/4" bolts with a wingnut. You can use a regular nut too but if you over torque it the mold will crack. You can use a vice or clams too but usually the bolts work better.

      @brycecover4654 5 дней назад

      @ got some bolts, thanks. I open poured it and 2 of the 4 came out. Better results than I had expected. Could you make any open pour molds?

    • @HandCraftedAngling
      @HandCraftedAngling  5 дней назад

      @brycecover4654 Yea I deffinitly want to try some open pour swimbaits. If your looking for somthing to do now I have an open pour crawdad and a small flounder bait on my thingiverse page.

    5 inch smooth body keitech swimbait would be pretty cool 🤷🏽‍♂️😏

      So I can’t make a direct copy of a bait on the market, but I can absolutely do my own version of a 5 inch paddle tail. I’ll work on it soon!

      No that’s it for now. I might set up a Fishbrain for next year. I want to start doing some fishing videos with the lures I make. I’ve been focusing on getting a wide variety of lures out.

      So I’m working on the 5 inch smooth body paddle tail. It was supposed to come out 2 weeks ago. Had 2 failed versions that set me back from print time but I think 3rd times the charm! Should be out soon!

      @@HandCraftedAngling thank you.
      I will try it in the spring.I'm sure it has good results. I fish a lot with the d bomb of missile baits and it's very similar.good bait for bigmouth bass

    • @HandCraftedAngling
      @HandCraftedAngling  Год назад +1

      @@Rcasbar Yeah I haven't gotten the chance to fish them yet but the should have a pretty nice action. I would think all the beavertail style baits would work pretty much the same. I think color would have more of an effect than anything.

    • @Rcasbar
      @Rcasbar Год назад

      @@HandCraftedAngling Yes, for fish that are suspicious or with little activity I use this lure a lot in bright blue-violet color or the bellowscraw in gripan chart color and they give good results (both with anise essence, I add food anise essence to mine) Congratulations again and thanks for sharing your knowledge and files with others.
