Rory Gallagher lives on in his music No one else can sing his songs as good as he did. No one can play the guitar like he did. A Million Miles Away and Messin With the Kid are my favs. No one compares to him. We lost him almost 16 years ago. His legend will forever live on.
This is the concert I took both my Irish parents to see. Much older Irish generation before our Ruarì. Still remember their faces light up and makes me smile and sad now both gone 🇮🇪🥰☘️

As a guitar player for a number of years, I'm shocked and almost ashamed that I haven't discovered the extent of Rory's genius until just this last week. I've been binging on Rory every chance I get. Such a brilliant player and performer - love this guy!
2 years before this show saw the man in Melbourne Australia already hooked by the vinyl but live just an experience to be treasured forever. Only Rod and Gerry accompanied but they held the total attention of everyone present. Just one of the finest musicians/artists you could ever hope to see. love what u loaded here ty

the great rory gallagher..still missed...in fact this concert was shown live on the bbc (when the bbc had good programs back then) it was called 'sight and sound' you switched the tv onto bbc1 (sound off) and switched your stereo on and the tuner,tune to bbc radio1..you had the picture live from hammersmith..and the sound from your stereo system..there was other bands over the weeks 'sight and sound' was on...jethro tull was another...great day back then..not the crap now-a-days.
I used to have cassette tape of this concert which a schoolmate had taped off the telly and it’s always been the Rory gig that’s playing in my head. My favourite versions of Bought and Sold, Pistol Slapper Blues and Souped Up Ford. It brought tears to my eyes to find it again, thank you
I was either in 77 or a year before in Odeon Hammersmith, I remember him playing all the acoustics. He definitely is a legendary guitar master. May his soul rest in peace. He left us too soon but his music never left, it will always remain with us till we die 🌿🌼🕊

Lou Martins keyboards is amazing in calling card. Whether its Gerrys rock solid bass, Ros Diaths drums of Rorys lead, Rhythm fills, his singing, he really was truely right up there and only players like Roy Buchanon maybe and a few others technically were better players. You cant buy feel or originality aand clearly Rory was so deeply inspired by those old original greats of blues like Leadbelly.
Rory Gallagher the name lives on, his music was appreciated enough during his time but it has taken the stern lessons of time to reveal the scale of his contribution, his dedication to the Blues idiom, a man of enormous talent and spirit.
