  • Here are two videos taken on November 27, 2022, featuring the MTA NYC Subway - in particular, at the elevated 125th St station along the 1 line. During the 2022 holiday season, tha MTA and New York Transit Museum decided to utilize the Train of Many Colors (TOMC) instead of the usual R1-9 fleet train (R1, R4, R6, R7A, R9) for the annual holiday train runs.
The train made several trips between Chambers St and 137th St/City College on the 1; to turn back and head uptown from Chambers St, the train passed Rector St and WTC Cortlandt without passengers to turn around at the South Ferry Loop.
The train consisted of A-Division SMEE cars built by St. Louis Car Company - more specifically, six R33 cars (aka R33ML), two R33S single cars (aka R33WF), and two R36 cars (aka R36WF). The R36 cars are notable for being part of the last Redbird train in service back in November 2003, a little more than 19 years ago.
