There was a night, where a friend of mine, her aunt was in a major car accident, and my whole youth group was gathered in the sanctuary, we were on a mission trip, but I kid you not, the doctors thought she was going to die, and we sang trembled for at least thirty minutes willing her to survive

The best part about this song, for me personally, is that my son Aaron Polley was playing keyboards on that stage that night. There’s only one shot of him near the beginning because he is directly behind Matt (the lead singer), so you don’t see him on that song, but he played that first night of recording so he’s in many shots throughout the night. Checkered shirt dark hair. So proud of him.
I thank God for using his talent for the Lord. He's helping to bring the Holy Spirit to many souls.

I don't know who you are, but I loved hearing this music through your talent! You have an ear for so many little sounds that I wouldn't normally pick up on. You are a very gifted man. Thank you for sharing your insights! Have you ever read Psalm 139? I remember when I was trying to make sense of God, and that portion of Scripture opened my eyes of understanding to how He saw me...how truly loved and valued I am. I'm asking the Holy Spirit right now to give you your personal eye-opening moment that helps you know that you know who you are in Him.

hey leonardo, i've been binge watching all these reaction videos and i truly think God is speaking to you through these songs just as He did with me:) i've gone through a lot more challenges than someone my age normally would, and God has really been there with me through it all, even when i didn't know it. being gay, it was so difficult for me to see myself as a christian. i faced too much rejection and contempt, claimed to be in His name, to feel like i would ever be accepted. i fell hard and abused myself until i remembered that no one can speak for Him because He is not in our mouths, He is in our hearts.
when the love in my heart was called a sin, i remembered that using God's love as a weapon was the real sin and when i see you Leo, saying you are not a christian but still embracing His love, all i can do is weep to see how you are moved affected.
thank you for reminding me that we find our way back through love and not hate.
Some of Hillsong's songs literally shifted my heart from such a bad place. Even when I wanted to feel sad and sit in my depression and anxiety, I would turn their music on and physically feel my heart lifted. I hope you can experience God in the same way!

The "heartbeat" sound you heard is a beater on a suspended bass drum, similar to ones in orchestras. You can see it at 2:30 and 3:56. They had a regular drumset and a percussion section in this album/concert.

at 3:50 I love how his guitar has so many layers or reverb from the big sky that you don't even hear his picking, it's more like a pad. Just great when we play this in church. Love that part.
