the thing about zombies is for cod is that there's no telling what the zombies are, they're different, they got infected from a chemical in a meteor and at the same time there's hell-ish/satanic, etc influence as well.
I liked Resident Evil 2 because when you die it actually shows your character being eaten by a mob of zombies. Also your health bar needs to be indicated by the amount of zombies that grab on to you. The more that grab on to you the more difficult it is to shake them of, but if your grabbed by to many your instantly dead and you get a nice little cutscene of them just eating your character alive.
In my opinion a zombie is something that no matter if it's human animal or whatever else. If it was Alive then died and came back to life to mindlessly kill people it's a zombie.

What we need is a mixture of Ghost Recon Future Soldier, GTA, Dead Space, Resident Evil (Not Operation Raccoon City though), Left for Dead, Dead Island and C.O.D all rolled into one perfectly structured military style zombie fest.
I understand where you are coming from when you say that the games where the zombies just hit you aren't as realistic because zombies usually try to eat you, the problem is that a zombie bite is suppost to turn you, hence why your number 1 is unrealistic, you can get bitten, over and over and over again and never turn.

I can understand you here, BUT, it still is a flaw, I think what they should do is just add even more zombies per round to make things harder instead of making the zombies harder to kill by damage. There should be more zombies where they can only be killed by head shots, I mean, head shot only is in private match so the coding is already there.

They need to make a zombie game on live where all the players on live are survivor that starts on random spots in the game and as a player you can meet new players as you play and teem up with the random players for your survival

You pretty much have to shoot or melee them in the head unless you shoot their chest open with a shot gun or catch on fire and they try to eat you. yes they do try to throw a few punches but they still eat you. Love the death scenes where they tear you apart.

Regarding dead rising 2 . You have to get antidote for your daughter everyday or else she will die and most missions have timer on them so you hardly enjoy free roam further up in game

well dead rising 2 is sortof linear but is also free roaming because in the first couple of missions you have to go to certian places and not allowed todo what you want.
"the zombies dont try and bite you" is that really a problem like you said they rely on natural instinct, so they will claw you and kill you, then eat you, you dont see the hungry wild animals ONLY using there mouth they use there claws, also the point where the guy said you have to shoot the zombies in the head, if your playing and getting crowded by zombies, im sure you want to kill them quicker so you can deal with the rest of them.

i thought i recall being bitten by a zombie in undead nightmare.. you can turn into one and the zombies will ignore you while you move throughout the world that was with the invincibility cheat i could be wrong of course its been awhile since i've played it

All I want is an online game where you can explore, possibly die instantly (forcing you to become careful), create groups and generally survive in the most surreal way also zombies are only killed with a headshot. DayZ perfectly does this except I cannot run those types of games on my crappy PC therefore I want a game exactly like that just for console.

The thing about undead nightmare is not true actually, they do try to bite you. When they get close enough they try to bite your neck

The zombies would try to bite you in undead nightmare...that's how you could do an invinsibility glitch. And yes I do mean invisibility.
