Got two sinks I need to replace that I want to surprise my dad by doing myself. I've been relying on him to do all my home repairs, it's far past time I started doing them myself. Thanks for the video!

What size sinks did you use? I have the exact same sinks in my Fleetwood mobile home and I want to replace them

How long it takes to do this

Depends on your skill level. If a beginner, set aside a day 👍

You should have filled that gap in with epoxy putty or something other than silicone. It's going to shrink and then it's going to leak.

Yes, agreed. It’s u fortunately all I had at the time and I didn’t want to drive 30 miles to the hardware store. This was in a country home. About 3mo after the install, I used putty to shore it up. Thanks for the suggestion! 👍

Well, I am sorry to say that if you are going to take a video to show people how to do it, should you suppose to prepare all the things you need ?

2:46 how drunk was the installer when he made that cut-out?

I’d say very. Or a prison worker who didn’t give a damn. Lol.

The cut out was fine. It goes under a sink. No one would ever see it unless they are replacing the sink. There are times to be precise and make things look perfect, but perfecting something that will never be seen is a waste of time and money.

@@MAGAMAN But it now is being seen so not a "waste of time'' craftsmanship counts. Now he has to use a mickey mouse patch.

The question is why. Why do you still have laminate countertops with drop in sinks in the third decade of the 21st century? Get rid of the whole top and put stone with undermount sinks. Your house value goes up. Better investment.

That wasn't silicone, that was plumbers putty.

Hello. It’s been a while since I’ve watched this video and done this repair, but I’ll take your word for it! Have a fantastic day.
