People are used to going to movies knowing exactly what’s happening before they even get in the seat. It’s refreshing that we’re getting something NEW . Not a remake or a sequel
I'm not a big horror film type of person, but I've always loved that he tells stories with Black ppl and can allow us to point to and say "Oh yeah we can do that too"

I just wish most of the people complaining understood how beautifully shot and technically sound this film is it’s a masterwork…..Also he’s making completely original movies no sequels, remakes, etc…The Gordy scene was horrifying most people won’t appreciate this film until years down the road.

His next directorial one may be 2 years from now. But he’s producing a new People Under the Stairs remake, a movie called Sinkhole with Issa Raye, and he’s starting in an animated one called Wendell and Wild. and this was from last year so ain’t no telling what else he’s got coming up.

Nope was a fantastic movie. I watched it in IMAX at my local Regal and the entire audience gasped and enjoyed the ride. Peele is an established movie producer and I hope he gives us another big screen movie soon.
Anybody who says this only watches those remakes, sequels, prequels, etc. because if you watched more than that, you'd realize there are piles of original movies that come out every year.
Seen Nope twice now. A great film made by great talent. I felt the fear, the adventure, the love and the joy. Thank you Peele and all the people involved.
This guy in my theater got up right after the credits rolled and said loudly "What a waste of $15!" everyone laughed but it was a nervous laugh. After he left like he wanted us to follow and agree.. I still didnt want to move. Not to watch the potential post credit scene but just to take in what I just saw. the movie has been stuck in my mind for a week now. What that guy did was super disrespectful to everyone else who enjoyed this movie like I did.

Over the weekend I had my own personal Film Festival. I watched David Lynchs' ERASERHEAD at the Salt Lake City Film Societys' Summer Showdown. I also watched Jordan Peeles' NOPE at the Newgate Mall in Ogden. Both have Imagery that Haunts you. I know it's high praise to be compared to David Lynch but I believe Jordan Peele is going to help carry the torch to the next generation.
I was one of the few who sat in the movie after it finished just wondering how many things had just happened before my eyes. It was amazing and also so ..out of it. Some scenes just stick with you . It was very intense. Spectacular.

This actor/director surprised me with his culture and intelligence. He fooled me well with the comic roles, I never thought he would be one of my favorite horror movie directors. Keep doing what you do.
So ironically funny that now, director Jordan Peele, actually has turned into a version of one of those spoofy intellectual caricatures he used to play on skit comedy shows like MadTV and Keye and Peele. His way of speaking, his current appearance, and his meta sensibilities and explanations about his art is both surreal and hilarious to witness now. 😂 Its only as funny and ironic like Ice T, the gangsta rapper, who wrote "Cop Killa", has now spent the last 25 years playing a police officer on TV as his primary profession. 🤷🤣 I am at the age of seeing life's humorous ironies play out. Its wonderful.😁
The movie was pretty good! I love how he, toward the end, was filmed riding a horse... Just like his great great great grandfather. :) It felt like everything came together! The movie was a bit too intense at times 😂😂😂 I was on the edge of my seat. Awesome movie. If you like aliens. If you like horses. If you like a scary backstory with Gordy... Watch this movie! 👏👏👏

Listen, GET OUT was a fantastic movie, but NOPE leaves too much desire. The scene of the chimpanzee killing everyone in the TV studio reminded me of the lady whose face was ripped off by a chimpanzee while visiting a friend. So what is a flying saucer got to do w/ that?...
I can't find one Interview where they just simply talk about the film. I get it... WE'RE BLACK! There's BLACK folk in the movie, the director is BLACK, I'm BLACK... BLACK BLACK BLACK BLACK BLACK. I GET IT, I do. But at the end of the day, there is a MOVIE here to watch and discuss. I've been watching BLACK crafted films since the late 60's without any issue until recent. Kinda hypocritical and criminal that all of those films, (100% BLACK), are basically being ghosted in order to make it seem as if we've just recently broken down some barrier where we've been liberated and can now make movies for the first time without the color of our skin holding us back, LOL!!! GET REAL. This movie has Black, White, Hispanic, Asian, Native, etc... because they are people who are actors who are bringing these characters to life. BLAH BLAH YADDA YADDA... If Eadweard Muybridge's Animal Locomotion "Plate 626" is retold as an African American ancestor’s legacy, then the director might have accomplished it. If this film has dominated the US box office, #Oprah definitely has most of the credits.
I don't believe in idolizing people or celebrities. I'll never stop to talk to a celebrity on the street, not even for a photo or an autograph; i just treat them as any other normal human. BUT.....I will say...if I EVER saw or had the chance to meet Jordan Peele.....I'd freak out. lol I could only imagine the great conversations you could have with a mastermind like his. His films are brilliant and refreshing! Oh, and also Hayao Miyazaki. I'd also freak out with excitement to speak with Miyazaki lol Those are my only two exceptions.
It’s been a pleasure following Jordan Peele since his comedy roots to where he is now. Just a fantastic director and story teller.
