ALICE IN CHAINS - Видеоклипы
william’s voice is unmistakable...you know it’s him as soon as you hear a single word. it’s truly soaring and his range is amazing. alice was great in picking him!
It also meshes perfect with Jerry’s voice, most of all they have incredible chemistry which is so important for AIC because of all the harmonization. Couldn’t have possibly added a better fit than him. RIP Layne but I’m so glad the band carried on, they still fuckin kick ass. Long live AIC
William reminds me vocally of Scott Weiland. When he sings “Last of my kind” I hear a lot of STP.
@@puppetmaster8551 I totally agree!!
@@Gratefulman1965 now that you mention it, I can hear the STP influence too
As far as I am concerned, Black Gives Way to Blue is an awesome album, and deserves to be rated as one of their best yet.
One of the best comeback albums of all time.
All of their albums are great, I think the Devil album is even better.
Agree
Layne was fucking awesome but this new guy can sing his ass off. New AIC is actually really good.
KylesaurusRex good yes I'd even say great but, nobody is LAYNE FUCKING STAYLEY. Your sn is badass dude
I don’t like DuVall very much… his voice is too generic imo and many people could have been chosen who sound a lot like him… I just wish they chose Phil Anselmo as their new singer because that would have been awesome. Phil performed Would with them for a reunion
@@liamsagucio61 There's a reason that they have Duvall. He comes from a military background, same as Cantrell.

This is the first time that I've seen and heard from the new Alice in Chains since Layne has passed.... Have I been living under a rock??? All I can say is.....ALL HAIL WILLIAM DUVALL....YEAH!!!
Never get tired of hearing this song. And Jesus, that bass delivers some really amazing sound.
William has a great voice in this song. I can visualize his lyrics in this song.
Jerry writes the dopest fuckin' riffs.
William Duvall does a really nice job, why do they ignore him so much on this video? I was skeptical at first too, but he's done a great job without trying to step all over Layne's memory. Let the guy have some spotlight.
BGWTB is one of their best albums, no question! Layne was amazing, but he's gone and 3/4 of the band are still here and producing fantastic music. We'll never forget Layne, but like all deaths you have to move on. Keep it up AIC Merry Christmas Dudes!
This sounds like something they would've done back in the 90s. What a killer song. I really love DuVall's performance here.
This tune right here is total BADASS!
love Alice in chains
God that song has really grown on me. I fuckin love the vocals, and the wah and the drumming and the bass and the lead and the and the and the.....
I wasn't a fan of this song when I heard the studio mix but this one live is even better! Mind blown!
3:56 Pure soul, coming out of Jerry's face! You can tell he loves this song!
My favorite song from the CD.
Love this song 🎤 William has a great voice 😎
My favorite album.
One of my favorite songs from Alice In Chains, along side with Dirt and Nothin’ Song.
Mike Tone is fucking unbelievable live. What a heavy gnarled sound
A fellow fan just sent me this video and I already had it on my playlist. I love the sound here! This version might be my favorite one!
Often imitated, Never Duplicated. Alice in Chains Rocks!!!!
Today's bands don't even compare to these guys... RIP Layne.
In the past 16 months I've seen them twice and each time they were amazing. Hope to see them next year.
Amazing live sound
AIC is the real deal, saw them in San Diego and their show was awesome!
Layne's gone RIP But there sound is still there Viva Alice In Chains forever
Alice in Chains are the last of their kind. Love the energy in this video.
I loved seeing AIC in Boston this past summer....the sound of KICK ASS ROCK AND ROLL.
Thank you Alice In Chains for making another album and for touring! Love this video!
Happy Holidays!
Definitely one of the best songs from BGWTB and overall an amazing Alice song. I was privileged to see them live in September of 09.
Loved the video. You guys rock harder than anyone. Love you. Have a great new year.
This song never got the radio play.Best song on the album.
Amazing song forsure, I think the top 3 in no specific order for me are this/private hell/a looking in view. All amazing songs. Albums as a whole is just a great one tho.
Thank you for this gift guys!!!! Great show in Paris last year, I wish AIC will be back in France! Happy christmas to the band & to all AIC fans!
thank YOU for being the greatest band in the world! happy holidays!!!
I love the gotic atmosphere this album has
You guys are the best band, I hope you pump out more stuff for years! Cya next time your in Tampa!
I feel so fucking lucky for being in the clip of one of my favorite bands in the world!
It's been 10 years since that concert in Sofia :)
I bet that if they had changed the name of the band when William joined, everyone would be saying: "Jeez, these guys sound a lot like AIC!"
From July 3, 1996 - April 19, 2002 when he was discovered dead, they waited for him to kick his heroin habit. He didn't want to. It technically is Layne's fault that they didn't have an album in 15 years. Hell, they couldn't even tour in support of their self-titled 1995 album. They hadn't played a show in over 3 years live from 1993 to Unplugged in 1996. Layne was doing Mad Season though.
Thank goodness for William! What a talent!
Killer riff tone!!
3:44 you are not alone
Thanks and Merry Christmas AIC! Seen you guys play three times now with your new line up and I love it. Great new songs. William is a fantastic singer and performer. I won't go into the whole comparison thing - suffice it to say I have been a huge AIC fan since 1992 and I loved Layne. But I am so happy to have the band back now and sounding as good as they ever did!
Ok, I normally never think live versions are better, but this one is for me.
Three reasons
1. None of the horribly tuned harmonies that AIC suffers in the studio versions. To me all their studio version harmonies sound like they tuned each of their voices individually and then tuned them again when they layered them, so it's good to hear them live.
2. Cantrell's belting in the harmonies is something I will never get tired of, his voice sounds great in the upper 4th octave
3. DuVall's scream at 5:00 is incredible, even though it's falsetto it sounds heavy and is an entire octave above the near inaudible one in the studio version
Amazing album, the best of Alice, great tribute to Layne!!!
Killer song, glad they played it in one of the three shows i've seen. Seeing the material... BRING ON THE DVD!!!
This band is doing exactly what Layne would be doing had the show been on the other foot. Moving forward after such a debilitating era is not an easy feat. Black gives way to blue is a damn solid effort by a band that almost died altogether. This album serves as a memorial as well as a testament to the vision that this band has always had. I am one of the AIC purists I’ve been a fan since the early days. I’ve known about this band a lot longer than most because I’m from The PNW. What Alice has done is pretty much what AC/DC had to do when Bon Scott died. I’m an AC /DC fan as well and I still don’t care for Back in black with Brian Johnson. It’s a great album in the same way Black gives way to blue is for Alice. I totally understand the purists when they say No Layne no Alice but for me, I have to admit they are still an incredibly dynamic group. With a lot left in the tank. I miss Layne just like the rest of you. I miss Bon Scott as well. I still listen to both bands because I’m a fan and that’s my choice . It’s tough to move on from disasters of this type but if the band(s) can do it than the fans need to find a way to hang on as well. 🎶
Jerry is actually their main song-writer; Layne only wrote 1 song by himself ("Man In A Box"). "Would?" was based on Andrew Wood (singer of Mother Love Bone), who passed away of a heroin overdose before the band got big, and "Rooster" was based on Jerrys' Dads' experiences the Vietnam War. That's why they still sound good, even now. 🤟
@rogergabb I couldn't have said it better myself. I miss Layne like all AIC fans, but for 2009/2010 BGWTB has been my favorite album by far, over any other band's release. I hope they keep going and release many more.
This is a band at the top of their game. I seen them in Glasgow a couple of years back. Phenomenal. So musically heavy and badass.
How is it that Jerry still BANGS and the guys actually MOVE, while James and the guys in 'Tallica stand still? i mean, Dave in Megadeth hurt his neck, so it's understandable - but the Alice guys are still one of the HEAVIEST bands, who are exciting to watch, and putting out AMAZING material! I am just sayin'.
Great comment and well said I wish more people would pay attention
agree, and Jerry is still with us , he is strong enough to keep everything alive, no matter what he's been through ............. I
This is why I enjoy Rock music, or whatever category you wanna stick it in.
Holy shit!!! I really like it!!!! Welcome back AIC!
Last October my dad passed away from covid.
My brother, his wife and me was getting our dad's funeral together.
My bro asked if I wanted a song and of course it was AIC blue fades to black.
It didn't happen, so almost every time I hear it I bawl my eyes out
Yep this album is killer, can't wait for their next one.
Love this one!! Saw you guys on the DIRT tour!! Got lucky saw you guys again 2006 HOB Sn Diego!!! Fucking show rocked!!!! Awesome hearing those songs again!!! Well put man, We all miss Layne and always will but the band is still one of the best in the business and sounds great live. Very grateful Jerry and the boys continued on after Layne. Long live AIC

5:00 Holy shit, why is that scream not in the studio version (at least loud enough to actually hear), DuVall is such an amazing vocalist.
Ya that shit is fuckin awesome, Duvall is the Man, great musician and even better person. Band still fuckin rules too, long live AIC.
am i the only one who is in love with New AIC ?
Nope, all these years later and they still kick ass. Their peak may have been with Layne but they still totally rule, one of the best bands on the planet.

Jerry’s guitar tone is so sick!

AWESOME video -pure adrenaline
LOL @ the Van Halen bit in the last 10 seconds of the video. Nice to see musicians I like having fun with music by other musicians I also like.
love this song!
Love this song! Perfect video gift I must say and I love the end They stay in high spirits and they allow their fans into their world! I Love it!! I just have one question: What is Jerry saying/singing at the end?!!!
I DO APPEAR ON THIS VID!!! OH MY GOD! Love you ALICE
Thank U guys... Thank Alice in Chains... =')
Awesome, I needed this. One of those rare times when spam e-mails are a good thing.
You got some stones posting something like that on an AIC page, I applaud you for it. I also have their entire discography, and Black Gives Way to Blue is my favourite album by them. That being said their albums with Staley were fucking magical as well. The still hold on to the same sound, but seem a lot more deep and sludgy now, kinda trans inducing. Old Chains and New Chains are both great in their own ways. Seeing them live, Duvall does Layne so much justice. Can't wait for the new album.
