- Not so short about Closed Loops Live 😅
I struggled quite a lot in the past always feeling like not having enough time to prepare a live-set due to working full time job during the day with the fact that I don’t wanna play the same thing over and over again on my live set. The quest to build a live setup that needs no preparation and super fun to play is emerged.
The rules of the game is that the setup has to allow to be played without intensive preparation like making tonnes of patterns before hand and at the same time it should provide different results every time being played. This is how I came up with this Closed Loops setup.Closed Loops Live is a multi genre improvisation based hardware live set in which tracks are built, performed and transitioned on the fly by mangling audio loops and sequencing hardware synthesizers. The ingredients for every performance are always a spoon full of luck and a full cup of soul :)
By having fun with these audio loops and live programming instead of using pre-programmed patterns and pre-defined set sequences, this live setup is really pushing me out to explore new possibilities in electronic music realm. Though minimal in size and numbers, this setup is fantastically scalable for strolling on any electronic music genres and sub genres. When I first started this set, I didn't realize there was another set unmuted in a second tab. I thought, dang, what's this dude doing? I guess not the best dirty mash-up? I restarted yours after I noticed. It's ballin' tho. When I first started producing tracks, before I got into DJing, I thought all sets were made this way.
