Rodie is correct again. Skoda used to be the budget VW brand, but these days it's just a bang-for-the-buck premium, if you want a VW group car. They just take the best of the VW platform and add the best features of their own brand, making it premium, practical and family friendly at a level that the parent company haven't achieved yet. I simply cannot understand why VW ( VW own Skoda) do not take the Skoda brand to the US. The cars use all VW engines, gearboxes and other components, so it's not as if servicing and repairs will be a problem. The Skodas we are getting here in the UK now seem slightly better quality than VW themselves. I've owned 4 Skodas. Really good, solid cars, and great value for money. An Irish car reviwer, Bob Flavin, took a Skoda Superb ( BMW 5 series sized car) to the States to get some feedback from anyone who wanted to look at it. Nice 'down to Earth review' :-) What worries me about the cloth on the dashboard, or around the centre stack, is how hard it might be to clean it. Inevitably coffee will be spilt at some point in the vehicle's life and I wonder if the cloth is protected with an anti-absorbent product, or if it's just going to suck it up like a sponge... and then look horrible forever more!? Plastic-only dashes are easier to clean.
I miss visiting Czech-Land 🤨 I really think daily cars are SO well suited to the battery life 🤓 For commuting and average UK use, how would a hum-drum 4pot make this better?
Problem with it is that all the tech you want is an expensive option, even the 125kw charging is an option. Once spec'ed up a little it costs £50k+ For a Budget brand this doesn't come cheap. I'd personally wait for the new Kia / Hyundai due this year, or get an entry Jag I-Pace
It is filled in, as it makes a big difference to aerodynamics. Normal grills and cooling elements cause significant drag. Car designers are scared of alienating buyers, so just leave a fake grill on electric vehicles 🙄 This fear, is why even Tesla started out with fake grills on the Model S. Designers have yet to develop any new customer accepted way, of having the front of cars without this traditional appendage. I’m sure we’ll look back and laugh one day 🤓
I’ve had the IV 80 for just over a month now and it’s the biggest lump of shyt out and a waist of near 48 grand when I get back off holiday I’m going to try and reject the dam thing. They say up to 330mile diesel gate all over again 200 mile max is more like it
Skoda simply stupid. Skoda lost my loyalty when they dropped their practical design and started making funcy cars. Enyaq is a massive disappointment when compared to Superb practicality in every way. New Superb, unfortunately, looks like iys going to be also miles away from old good value for money practicality. In Enyaq, phone management was taken from the steering wheel and put on this awkward screen. Amount of glitches is terrible. Some dangerous, when suddenly speakers go on full volume when you drive. Calls itself to emergency nr without a reason. Just after a year, I had to leave it unlocked on the street and go to the nearest shop for a new key battery. Enyaq refused to start. Some warning that battery needs replacement would be great. The claimed range is a joke. Suspension will shake you like James Bond martini. Few other disappointments, but no point to carry on. For the money, it's just another funcy car on the road but not value for money.
This shit didn't resolve anything it actually screwed everything up as the price is a joke. I will wait for Tesla Model Y there is no contest mate Skoda nearly £50k will all option really you are having a laugh mate screw you Skoda. My local dealership included heatpump and fastcharging for free. So its worth checking out!
