Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is a 2004 action-adventure game developed by Rockstar North and published by Rockstar Games. GTA III takes place in 2001, but also Claude and Catalina were still in San Andreas in 1992, CJ works with them in Red County in GTA San Andreas. CJ going to Liberty City to kill them 9 years before they even get there makes no sense, even if it was after the events of GTA III, it would only be Claude because he killed Catalina at the end of GTA III.
