Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is a 2004 action-adventure game developed by Rockstar North and published by Rockstar Games. It is the seventh title in the Grand Theft Auto series, and the followup to the 2002 game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. Man, Ryder actually helps in getting Grove back in the game and all, then he betrays you and you're forced to kill him, never to be mentioned again afterwards.
Rockstar really did him dirty with that crappily implemented 'twist'.
If they felt the need to kill him off, should've let him die fighting side by side with you in the 'Green Sabre' mission when you tryna safe Sweet.
He'd at least died a homie, not a rat.
Yeah he wasnt supposed to do this. If you notice even the dialogue is recycled. The voice actor was the one who caused all of this. It really seems out of place to make Ryder die alongside T bone

I honestly liked Ryder over sweet.
Actually, you can complete mission without killing him. Just take RPG or any other gun and destroy both boats from land before Ryder enters one and mission will be completed but Ryder will just disappear. PROVEN

In a way, I really wished that Ryder didn't betray CJ and Sweet. He actually seem to care about the hood, I think they kinda messed up some of the game.
Rockstar had to kill Ryder off in the game because half way through production the voice actor for Ryder either went to jail or quit, or a family issue. Something happened to where he couldn't record lines anymore so they killed his character off. It is unfortunate forsure.
@@jayrising442 @Jay Rising From what I've read, the voice actor for Ryder quit because them a-holes at Rockstar Games wouldn't pay him the money he wanted. Plus if they were gonna kill off Ryder, they should've had him died during the Green Sabre mission in that shot-off between the GFS and the Ballas. Where this way Ryder would've stayed loyal and died showing it, plus it would give CJ and bigger motivation to go after Big Smoke.

It would've been good if Rockstar actually gave a freedom of choice whether to kill or show mercy to your old homie Ryder. Still an impeccable game considering its release date, ages like a fine wine. I'd love to see Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas official remake. I liked the whole GTA franchise, but San Andreas is a living world. A stainless masterpiece which deserves to be remaked.

Honestly speaking Ryder had a very unceremonious death.
It's cause Rockstar ripped off ryders voice actor in their contract, and Rockstar wouldn't pay him the full amount so the actor quit and Rockstar decided to give him a forgettable death, he was originally supposed to be killed in the green Sabre and die a hero, but because Rockstar got butthurt, they ruined the story

Seeing this mod really makes me think that GTA San Andreas, although is one of the best games ever, STILL DIDN'T REACH ITS FULL POTENTIAL because of a single voice actor. If Ryder's voice actor didn't quit, we would have a better ending, in my opinion.

If you actually don't kill him on this mission and you make his boat get stuck, he'll steal a car to try and escape from CJ. If you carjack him, he just stands still waiting for you to kill him.

You know it warms my heart seeing them becoming homies again. Ryder was CJ’s closest friend since they were kids. He never even wanted to be betray the grove or CJ. Smoke and Tenpenny forced them to or they kill him. If only the story was actually like this video. Either way Grand Theft Auto San Andreas will always have a special place in our hearts even if rockstar can’t bring it back due to universe boundaries.
