  • In this video, I’ll show you how to make delicious Chinese BBQ Pork (Char Siu) with a unique twist using beetroot for natural coloring. This recipe combines traditional flavors with a vibrant presentation, perfect for any occasion.
    Ingredients:
    Oyster sauce: 3-4 tablespoons
    Soy sauce: 1 tablespoon
    Tahini sauce: 1 tablespoon
    Fermented bean curd: 2 pieces
    Beetroot: half, diced
    Sugar: 2 teaspoons
    Salt: 1/3 teaspoon
    White pepper powder: 1/2 teaspoon
    Five spice powder: 1/2 teaspoon
    Shaoxing wine: 4 tablespoons
    Instructions:
    Blend all the ingredients together and refrigerate overnight to let the flavors meld.
    The next day, prepare a honey water mixture with:
    3 tablespoons honey
    3 tablespoons rice syrup
    2 tablespoons hot water
    1 teaspoon soy sauce
    Roast the marinated pork for 8 minutes.
    Brush the honey water on one side and roast for an additional 5 minutes.
    Flip, brush the other side, and roast for another 5 minutes.
    Repeat the brushing and roasting process twice (5 minutes per side each time).
    Apply a final coating, being careful to avoid burning.
