- Last podfic for the day. Comfort and cuddles, that's what I love the most with these two. I also put a reverb setting on the audio because I pictured the halls of the cottage kind of echoey. This one is set post S3, and poor Crowley doesn't think he's enough. Aziraphale, however will never fail to help him see how much he is loved. I have about 13 scripts left in my Drive before I have to start writing again. Time is going by quickly. Stay safe everyone!
TRANSCRIPT:
[THE DOOR SLAMS. CROWLEY HEARS]
A: I’m back, darling!
C: Angel? runs to Aziraphale Angel! You’re home!
A: Yes, of course I- oof! Oh, I was only gone for a few hours, my de-
C: quietly sobs
A: gasp What’s wrong? What’s wrong, Crowley? Talk to me?
C: I…I…
A: Shh, shh, slow down, darling. Deep breaths. Talk to me. I won’t judge you.
C: You will.
A: No, I won’t! I know you inside and out. 6,000 years, I’ve had to put up with you.
C: chuckles through tears
A: Please. Will you tell me, what’s bothering you?
C: Okay. This will sound pathetic but…Everytime you leave this cottage. I fear you won’t come back.
A: What-? Oh, sweetheart, what would ever possess you to think such a thing?
C: You’ll get tired of me. You’ll get sick of my moods, my antics, my temper. You’ll leave and never come back. And sometimes when you do leave, I lie in bed thinking, ‘’he’s gone, he’s left me’’ and I don’t know what to do sobs
A: Now, you listen to me, you silly snake. Listen. I am so, so desperately in love with you. Do you know what that means? It means I will accept you no matter what. No matter what. kisses hands Now, you are never ever to think that I will have any other intention in this life but to love you. Do you hear me?

A: This, ‘’wickedness’’ you speak of. Where is it?
C: Well, it’s…well there was that one time, I…I did the thing, I…

C: whimpers
A: Are you okay?
C: I think I will be, yeah. I just keep thinking that being married to me will suck all the love out of you.
A: No, you precious thing. It only makes me love you more. And I am the happiest creature in all of creation. What would you like to do now?
C: I want…to sleep. I haven’t slept, I…
A: Oh, you poor thing. kisses forehead Getting worked up over something so trivial.
C: It’s not trivial! You’re not trivial. You’re my world. You’re my everything.
A: Tell you what. I, my darling, am going to take you to bed.
C: I’m fine.
A: That is a promise.
C: You don’t need to promise to take me to be-woah!
A: Just like on our wedding day.
C: Yeah.
A: Now, you get some sleep. For as long as you need. I promise, I will be here when you wake up. And if not, I’ll leave a note on the-
[CROWLEY HAS FALLEN ASLEEP]

I love that Crowley comes over all tough and cool but is really insecure and thinks he's not good enough for Zira. So sweet! ❤

I love the fan work, but I am wondering why most of them depic Crowley as a weepy, clingy, extremely insecure and a weak minor demon. I would love to read / listen to some fan work that he is more like he is in the book / show. But that is just my silly opinion. I do really enjoy the stories , just would like to see the demon who is strong enough to stop time.
Hello. Thanks for your feedback. So when I write for Crowley in these stories, I like to present him as softer for the sake of developing his and Aziraphale's relationship. I don't at all intend to portray Crowley as weak or inferior to other demons. I just like to write the softer side of him that we don't see much of in canon. But there are stories I have yet to post that do portray him as the strong, scary demon he is capable of being. Thank you for pointing this out. I'll be sure to keep this idea in mind when writing future stories
☺️ I do love your stories and yes Aziraphale does bring out his inner angel. And it tickles me about his protectiveness of children, their innocence I think reminds him of what he lost. One of the things that I love about their story is how comfortable and confident they are with each other. Aziraphale is never scared or intimidated by his fierce demon and Crowley can never stay mad at his infuriating angel, usually loses his anger in seconds, but can sulk for a bit. Your stories are truly a balm that keeps me from missing them too much. Their argument about Crowley sleeping in his car - delightful. Funny. I know I am rambling here, I just miss the demon who can create lightening or drive through fire… he can do so much to save and protect his angel. They are so strong together and endearing soft. Keep up your delightful stories.
