If someone is asking: no there are no changes in the look of bsl shaders at all. I’m currently building a big map on my laptop and it feels smoother since I changed my settings like in this video. It helped me a lot! Ty
For the most part this is true, but personally I keep FXAA on & the smooth lighting level at 100% cause I notice a huge difference having them off (looks like S H I T!)
Here's the ultimate tip - *Options > Video > Quality > Anisotropic Filtering > Off* . Went from 50fps to 220fps when looking at large water with reflections. And was able to put render distance from 12 to 30 with 120fps. Possible other fix for 12600k users - Use Process Lasso and disable CPU Affinity > Efficiency Cores for javaw.exe and Minecraft.exe. Stops it using slow ecores.
ive been looking for videos to try and fix my fps issue with shaders (3060 ti and ryzen 7 5800x) and your comment just put me to 300 fps from 30, thank you
I read this, tried it, and my computer went from averaging like 40-61FPS (Hitting like less than 10 FPS at times if I really put it to the test in like a jungle biome) to now basically being like over 100FPS with complimentary shaders... And if i try to make it lag I think it just drops to like 60 or 70 or so which is perfectly fine... Still need to test it but wow, that is certainly an improvement... (I'm using an RTX 3060 with complimentary shader, like over 270 mods so far (some for optimization or just libraries/APIs/etc.) and my settings are moderately optimized though not too much in any particularly disappointing way... And I got the render distance to 12 with Farsight being one of my mods which is nice, tons of render distance (had Distant Horizons too, but I think that one doesn't work with shaders too well)... I was messing with BSL as a possible alternative that would be better performance than Complimentary, but with vsync off BSL actually only gets like 50-70FPS so for me it is worse performance-wise (still not bad though), but it IS possibly because I might have Complimentary more optimized, idk (I messed with the settings quite a lot)... Regardless, I'm happy with my shader now so good job leaving a helpful comment 1 year ago lol
I have a laptop 3060, and I was wondering why I had 20-30 frames, but when I looked into it, I was using my CPU graphics. so then i researched how to change the java runtime to my gpu them i figured out how to do it and i instantly has like 150-170 fps. funny thing is, i was watching this video after all that and i just decided, “low settings? more like MAXED OUT” and i changed it all to max.
For some reason, nvidia doesn't realize that minecraft is a game so it doesn't switch ur display mode from optimus to nvidia gpu only. Go to your nvidia control panels --> manage display mode --> select nvidia gpu only and it should start using your gpu instead of ur integrated graphics
did everything, im on pixelmon with shaders with a great pc (r5 3600 and a gtx 1080 ti) and I after turning everything in the shaders to the lowest settings, i get 30 fps flat
Help!!! Running in version 1.16.5 used the exact same settings as recommended here yet only getting 30-35 fps tops. I have 1660 Ti, intel i7 and 16GB ram. Why is my game performing so much worse??
i have a laptop with a gtx 1650 and core i5 with 8 gb ram, i believe that is quite decent specs but i still get below 30 fps on the settings this video shows on bsl shaders. is anything wrong with my pc?
i have the exact same pc and i also get faintly over 30 fps, it doesn't go higher then 31 and what's ridiculous to me is that i had fh4 demo installed before which was 28 gigs and i was running it with perfect 60 fps on high settings. and this mod be like:
@@Mateg-M249 check your f3 screen whether Minecraft is using your dedicated gpu or not. If it shows intel hd graphics, allocating your gpu to mc will solve the problem. You also might wanna use sodium + iris rather than optifine. It gets you a lot of more frames

FINALLY you're back, i missed you so much...
I remember watching this back then when I wanted to play Minecraft on the Mac
for people with a decent pc : The settings on the Performance tab are very benefical for not just shader but overall game performance too.

It's wild how many extra fps you can squeeze out just by disabling vsync even on mid to high end rigs.

I gained 9 fps from this and the only thing that actually helped was me turning render distance from 16 chunks to 8.
This really helped me make Minecraft run WAY faster than before!
oh my hero of the fps is back😍
I went from 9 fps to 22-26 fps. It definitely helps
After along time ago your back!
Wow, this is amazing! I'm getting about 50 fps, which is a lot better than 10!
what's your gpu, if I may ask?

Yes, finally, the ultimate minecraft fps boost for perfect minecraft experience

My laptop is potato. No mods, no shaders, OptiFine, Java edition = max 30 fps. I want a good look, so this will help me.
Missed you homie ❤
It’s strange that on M chip Mac with a higher setting configuration is smoother. Maybe the lower configuration is not making GPU working fully.
For some reason, nvidia doesn't realize that minecraft is a game so it doesn't switch ur display mode from optimus to nvidia gpu only. Go to your nvidia control panels --> manage display mode --> select nvidia gpu only and it should start using your gpu instead of ur integrated graphics
It doesn’t help. I did everything but it still won’t go past 19 and when I move it goes back down to 2-1
Same here. And I have an rtx 2060…
bro has nvidia rtx geforce graphics
Yeah! You are back!!

Do you know that most of these settings will lower your fps more. I tested every setting every time.

The options are in different sections, the first two settings he mentioned are in Camera and FXAA is in Antialiasing.
What??? Are you fps proofing? 70fpd on vsync
pls make high end one
Seeing people mention they don’t have 20 or more fps just need to stop using shaders look for resource packs that give the game a better look instead
